"Grand Opera Hall guest house" is the Jin Merchants' Club 300 years ago. The name of Grand Opera Hall was inscribed by Mr. Qigong, a great master of Chinese culture . It has become a unique and precious work of Mr. Qigong. The Grand Opera Hall guest house is located at the Nine Dragons of Pingyao ancient city, with Confucian temple and God of wealth temple in the west, Kuixing tower in the South and ancient city wall in the East. It was built in 1703, the 42nd year of Kangxi. In order to welcome the emperor to visit the west, four big buildings and music hall were built. In the 26th year of Guangxu, Empress Dowager Cixi and Emperor Guangxu traveled to the west to enjoy the opera and stayed in the Grand Opera Hall.Show More

Reception speaks english. Traditional bed was very huge and super comfortable to sleep.
Pipes in the bathroom are old and for thos reason stinky. Power of hot water innpipe is poor but os enough to take a slow shower. Showet is fulfilled with water which doesnt go away fast.

位置很好，隔壁就是文廟。第一天可以把其他景點看完，第二天上午逛逛文廟和城隍廟然後退房。早餐還行，退房時還送了禮物。

Excellent stay. It's a massive complex with many sections, looks beautiful day and night, perfect location near entrance gate to city wall and main roads. Room was big, clean, comfortable and nicely designed. Toiletries and breakfast included, good food. Staff very friendly, helpful and patient with my attempts at chinese/using a translator app. Overall great value, no issues at all.

定了兩間，帶着長者孩子，給我們升級了套房，房間古香古色，還有接送服務，春節期間不能進車，客棧工作人員走路幫忙拎行李，早餐也很豐富，走的時候還送了兩壺醋，有機會去平遙還會選這裏住
