We stayed over the new year period, the choice of the hotel was for its strategic position. It overlooks the Arno a stone's throw from the middle bridge, 15-20 minutes from the station and Piazza dei Miracoli. Grand Royal Hotel Victoria is a historic building over 600 years old with original 19th century furniture that was once splendid, is now very run down, poorly maintained and in need of serious renovations. Interior of the rooms with antique furniture, unfortunately the mattresses are also antique. Buffet breakfast but not much choice. In defense I might say the staff were very friendly and helpful. Plus it was beautifully decorated for the Christmas season with a wonderful Santa's room.

the building has rich history, but the room feels a bit too old. nonetheless the location is great with friendly service, price is reasonable for a large room compare to other hotel in pisa. PS. great river view at night.

This place is the most convenient place for us to arrive. It is only a few stops from the train and bus. You can see the beautiful river when you get off the bus. It takes 2 minutes to walk to the hotel, which is very convenient.
