Glorious trip away to this gem of a hotel! We totally lucked out with the weather so experienced drinks in the loch facing garden, amazing walks on the doorstep, a Fabulous dinner and an all round fantastic stay. We arrived early, as we planned a pre-check in walk after our journey. We were greeted by Very chilled out & efficient staff, including Jade (the owner) who found out, very quickly that we were staying for the night and made everything, there on in, very simple! Our room was stunning, we had beautiful loch views, ample space in the room and bathroom, with quality amenities. Dinner was served in the main restaurant, food was outstanding. Wine was tasty and plenty to Choose from. We chose to spend the end of the night in the snug, before retiring to the room! Breakfast was a very relaxed affair and menu chosen the night before. True Scottish weather unfortunately but the view was still amazing and set us up for our day ahead! We will definitely be back as The Inn at loch at Loch Tummel has definitely been added to the favourite list! Thank you

Beautiful Inn on the Loch. Our room was lovely and very comfortable. Huge bathroom with a great power shower. Jade and Zoltan made everyone very welcome and huge compliments to the Chef for his amazing food. Would highly recommend.

A wonderful one night stay with friends who were celebrating their 40th Wedding Anniversary. The rooms (i.e. the bedroom, and the snug which had an amazing log fire) were superb. The food was superb, and the staff's (Jade and Sultan's) level of attention to detail, warm welcome, and friendliness throughout our stay were superb. A most enjoyable all round experience. Highly recommend!

We booked for one night on a dinner, bed & breakfast deal. We arrived 15 minutes before the 3pm check in time and were told to wait outside. The weather was fine, so no problem but still a bit petty as our room was ready. My husband therefore ordered two medium glasses of house wine at the bar and brought them over to an outside table. We checked in after 3pm and were given the keys to our room (no 7). It was on the ground floor at the end of the building (so no WIFI). The Inn is situated right on the road and it is a surprisingly very busy road with lots of large heavy lorries. The windows are old, single glazed and offer no noise insulation. We were woken up at 4am when it sounded like a large lorry was going through our room. On check out I was surprised to get a bill for £66.50 as we had prepaid our dinner, bed and breakfast and had only purchased a bottle of wine at £28 and two medium glasses of house wine. A service charge of 12.5% had been added and this even included the two glasses of wine my husband had been served at the bar and carried out to our table. We always leave a gratuity for good service but we have never before had it automatically added to our bill when on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis rather than leaving it to our discretion. There was only one other couple staying at the Inn when we were there and maybe there is more atmosphere at the weekend when it is busier and they bother to light the fires etc. Overall this was a very disappointing stay. The area is beautiful but in future we will be returning to the Dunalistair.

Fabulous location. Very comfortable beds and warm room with Loch view. Owner friendly and staff member Zoltan worked very hard to make our stay an enjoyable one. Nothing too much trouble for him. The food was first class, very tasty. Drinks a bit on the pricey side. Views from dinning/breakfast room are stunning. As are views from beer garden.

Very disappointed. Stopped off mid week while out for a ride on our motorbikes. Asked chap sitting just inside bar area if we could get a table for two. Was informed yes & given option as where to sit, restaurant was quiet inside, 6 other people & a booked group of 8 sitting outside. Waiter chap seemed a bit stressed when he spoke to us. Menu was very limited & most wasn't even available. Only hot option left was fish/chips so ordered that along with a cold meat sandwich & side order of fries. 1 hour later first chap came over to say our food was just getting sorted & would be out shortly. When I ask why we had had no communication & why food was taking so long, was informed that the Booked table of 8 had taking up there resources & that they were "Booked" & we were walk in's (obviously my fault for assuming an inn dealt with customers & offers a service, how dare i). Food did arrive shortly after but fish quite greasy & sandwich was a joke, just plain slab of bread, to much margarine & very little filling. Total cost of this along with 2 hot chocolates (very cold by the time food arrived & no offer of replenishing) was £46 after the chap very kindly reduced bill by £1 for there inability to communicate with us. Unbelievably bad service, if I could give zero out of 5 I would. Highly recommend if your out that way to keep on going & get food elsewhere. Left us feeling it was all our fault for walking in & very much poorer. Worst experience of food service I've had in a very long time.

To be honest we were a bit dissapointed. We are locals, have visited the Inn before and had a lovely food there in the past. The owners have always been warm and inviting and it's in such a beautiful spot. We have recommended it to countless people but unfortunately that will not be the case anymore. Ignoring the multitude of options in Pitlochry we decided to drive out for lunch - a treat we thought. Things were not quite as we remembered and it became apparently immediately. In was a Saturday but the resturant was quiet and we awkwardly stood waiting for quite a while before anyone appeared to seat us. The table was noticeably dusty and the glass flower vase was empty, grubby and filled with old dirty water. It all felt a bit unloved. The menu was more limited than we remembered. We drove out hoping for more options, a resturant rather than a cafe type lunch; but 3 types of sandwich, fish and chips or a burger were all that were on offer. Struggling to find something I fancied, I plumped for a sandwich, my husband the fish and chips. The service was all a bit wierd. Our diet cokes, I think came from a can but were served in a glass way too large and with no ice so looked like short measures. Someone bustled back and forth setting up a table next to us with a meal for what I assumed was a social media photo shoot, but never acknowledged us or explained what they were doing, which was a bit uncomfortable when it was so quiet. It felt quite intrusive, but did make us laugh as he bothered to dust that table before he used it. The food arrived and initially looked quite good, colourful and well presented but it didn't follow through on flavour. The fish was very greasy (upsetting my husband's stomach later on) and the sandwich just wasn't good. Run of the mill white bread, slathered way to thickly in tasteless cloying margarine, a few bits of largely tasteless salami, a slice of a very strong (and a slightly crunchy) cheese (possibly parmesan? - it was so overpowering I couldn't stomach more than one piece and I love cheese), rocket and a slice of underripe tomato. No dressing or balsamic to cut through the richness of the cheese. So dissapointing. I'm not a fussy eater but after a few bites I really wasn't enjoying it so picked out the salami and salad, leaving most of the margarine bread and cheese on the side of my plate. At this point the server came over and asked if everything was OK. I explained the problem with the thick margarine and that I couldn't eat most of my sandwich, but he neither apologised or offered to do anything to rectify the issue. I probably should have just asked for a couple of slices of un-marged bread and rebuilt my sandwich, but instead just ate the salami, side salad and coldslaw. A very tiny and underwhelming lunch for nearly £11. Later the sever returned, asked if everything was OK with our meal, didn't wait for a response, answered his own question saying "Yes everything is fine" and took the plates away. We act

Had a lovely overnight stay here with my husband in March. We had eaten here 8 years ago and vowed to return but it took us longer to do that than we’d thought! This time we stayed overnight and had a lovely room overlooking the loch. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was really good . The owner Jade was great , and maintained a great energy throughout the dinner service laughing and joking with guests and then again at breakfast the next morning. Our room was spotless ( forgot to take any photos) and we had a really large bathroom with a good shower over the bath. We will return ( hopefully in less than another 8 years! 😀)
