The Old Mill Inn

We stayed at another hotel for the Etape weekend last year and we were sorely disappointed.. so this year we went for the Old Mill Inn and weren’t disappointed in the least! We arrived mid afternoon on pre race day and managed to get a parking space easily at the rear of the hotel. The booking in process was easy and the girl showed us around the hotel, took us to our room and made sure we had somewhere to store our bikes overnight. The room itself is fantastic, spacious, clean, comfortable and very well equipped! We booked dinner and found the restaurant and garden were absolutely heaving with other customers! Despite this, the staff were very quick to take our order and we had no delay waiting on our food and drinks! They were all so friendly and nothing was too much. The food itself was lovely and the a**osphere spot on! We were provided with a very early breakfast service by the staff due to the race on Sunday, some of whom were cycling with us. Food was made to order and again was served quickly and without fuss. I’d highly recommend the eggs Benedict! The inn is located right off the Main Street, so we didn’t have to wait in cycle pens half an hour before the race started.. we simply walked out the door and joined our group as they cycled past on way to start line. It was worth it for this alone. After the race we attended the after party in the tent where the band last orders (awesome) were playing from 4. Party a**osphere didn’t come close, we had an absolute ball and were sorry when we had to call it a day! We will absolutely be coming back here and would recommend this place to anyone who is visiting, especially over the Etape weekend, Thank you to the staff for making our visit so memorable! Loved the hotel and bedrooms they were immaculate and stunning decor, my only complaint I don’t know what you have below the sheets, but it felt like there was an electric blanket on all night, very uncomfortably hot night.

Our most recent stay was, as always, first class. The food, accommodation, and staff were superb. A perfect experience from beginning to end.

We’ve stayed in a lot of great hotels but there was something particularly special about the Old Mill Inn. The team there were very friendly and helpful, the room was very comfortable, we both slept really well and the food was fantastic. We stayed 5 nights and there was plenty of choice on the menu. We found the portion sizes to be very generous and never had enough room for pudding but they did look delicious. Breakfast was something to look forward to each morning. Again, there was a whole variety of things to choose from, all cooked to order and of a really high standard. It’s a vibrant, lively place right in the centre of Pitlochry and we would definitely stay there again. There was ample parking while we were there, either right next to the Inn or in their overflow car park but it was tricky to find when we first arrived. Access to both isn’t via a proper road so it’s easily missed. Ask someone at the Inn before you travel (this info wasn’t on our confirmation email).

Great stay, met on arrival and shown to our room by Anel who was so lovely and welcoming. Room itself was gorgeous, big comfy bed, fab shower. Everything spotlessly clean and fresh. We had dinner here as well, Siobhan looked after us brilliantly. Food was tasty and plentiful. Breakfast great too, good selection to suit everyone. We will definitely be returning, it's a real gem of a place.

Last minute booking at The Old Mill Inn and we had a lovely stay. Booked a deluxe room for two nights and it did not disappoint. Every member of staff worked hard to ensure guests had a great time. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant on both days and enjoyed everything we had. Thanks to all of The Old Mill Inn team for making our stay so enjoyable. We will definitely be back.

What a find! Everything about the Old Mill Inn is nothing short of excellence. Immaculate and luxurious accommodation (especially loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom!) outstanding food, and the friendliest and most efficient staff who made every effort to make our stay memorable. If you get the chance stay here. This place was not only amazing but the staff, restaurant and grounds were too. Conveniently located in the center of town.
