There was a Toenail clipping left on the floor by the bed and there were sheers in the room and no way to make the room dark to sleep at night.

The hotel is close to the center of Pittsburgh (south side of the Monongahela river). The city can be easily explored on foot from there, you can reach the downtown area in 30 minutes on foot. Only negative point is that you need to walk through rather shady area which might some people feeling unsafe with. The hotel itself is good, the room was spacious and the beds very comfortable, the bathroom though showed tiny spots of mold - nothing serious though. Breakfast was served downstairs in a nice environment. It had a big selection (eggs, bacon, sausages, sweets, bread, cream cheese, jam and yoghurts as well as oatmeal) and was very tasty - which we enjoyed.
The coffee machine inside the room was really crappy, I pressed the button for inserting the coffee and it fell almost apart. I notified the receptionist and he told me I could always get coffee and hot water from the breakfast area which was highly appreciated.
As I stayed there on a weekend I used a public parking lot - for free - in the direct vicinity and did not pay for the rather expensive hotel parking.

I requested a room near the elevator. I got a room at the end of the hall. The "new" IHG policy is they only offer housekeeping services after 3 overnights. This is not stated anywhere on their website. I found out after I checked in and paid. This hotel has a gated and fully fenced in parking lot, which is only accessible by using your hotel room key. The problem is that the hotel charges $22 a day for parking. There is no other safe/secure parking option nearby.

Hotel was conveniently located but paying $50 dollars for two nights to park my car in their parking lot without knowing until you checked in was a bit frustrating!
