"Breakfast was supposed to be included, and they gave nothing but a paper bag with an orange juice, a danish and water that was not in the advertising book in the room. We also had a room in the basement, which was really stinky, and our toilet leaked water all over the floor and our air conditioner didn’t work, right I will not come here again"

"After a hard day of travelling, I did not appreciate the check in technology providing obstacles like not accepting confirmation numbers or forcing me to jump through hoops like providing license photos when all I wanted to do was to lie down. While the room itself was satisfactory, the heating system would not respond to commands so it was often too cold in the room. I would have appreciated extra packets of creamers left in the concierge closet, as well. I think, for me, in the future I will prefer a full service hotel."

"We checked in pretty late. There was only one bath towel in the bathroom. We asked the front desk for more towels because we were out all day and I needed to take my kids a bath, but was Informed that we had to wait for 45min to an hour because they did not have any clean towels. Even though I booked the room for my 3 kids and I. Then we noticed the bathtub. The bathroom was dirty. It literally had hair in the tub and brownish stein from the mold that wasn’t cleaned. The front desk offered us another room right next to us to literally take a shower. But it was also dirty. Idk I have never stayed at a hotel with these bad steins before. Is that the new normal? The only thing they could offer was free breakfast even though we had already with our reservation. Never booking again."

"Tryp was awesome. Great historical location and renovation. Location was fun, safe. Staff was excellent. Will strongly recommend. Only one issue - apparently a new rule was implemented regarding checking in early afternoon. After a 6 hour drive I arrived at 1:15pm and asked to check in. I travel for a living so I was a bit disappointed to hear it would cost an additional $50 to get my room an 1 1/2 "early". I asked if it was ready and was told yes. So after a 6 hour drive my choice was to sit in the lobby for an hour and a half+ or pay the $50. I said I understood if I was trying to check in at like 9:00 am. When checking out Tryp made the experience right. Overall, as a frequent visitor to pittsburgh I look forward to returning and highly recommend."
