We were staying at this hotel last Thursday evening for one week. Hotel clean and staff friendly, however they are run off their feet, not enough staff. The food was not at all to the standard of a 4 star hotel. Very disappointed with the food in general. I was hoping the reviews I had read prior going very were picky people. I was wrong about them. This hotel could be very good and deserving 4 stars. It's let down with the standard of the menu. Cold food ,lck of vegetables at the evening meals.

Hotel in excellent location, 5* cleanliness but unfortunately breakfast was not great, hot food was at best luke warm, pool areas were great and plenty of sunbeds and no rush to run and book one before breakfast. Rooms very comfortable and slept really well. Reception staff very helpful & friendly. In our opinion although said to be a family hotel, we would suggest for older children although great pool facilities we didn’t think the safety for under 5’s was that great. No rails at some stairs (3 yr old commented on), some rooms do not have enclosed balcony on 2nd floor so 1 year old could just make a break for it if room door was open, fridges were far too small which in turn makes it difficult to store milk & water for the kids. Sadly while we were there there was some works being done at the pool bar, it was very noisy and exceptionally dusty, some warning to guests would have been appreciated, we had to leave the hotel to get a break from it, the guy drilling and cutting at the tiles on the floor could see the dust was going over to guests on sunbeds, all he needed to do was wet the area he was working at to lessen the dust but he didn’t seem to care. I don’t think it’s fair to do this type of work and not inform guests staying at the time that it is going to be getting done. Yes we understand maintenance has to be carried out but when noisy and dusty like that, informing guests I think is a must if not just a courtesy.

Nice hotel clean and in a lovely location however breakfast is limited and seem to change things on a whim - restaurant takeaway was 1-5pm now changed today with no notice to 1-3pm. I had read about them changing things at the drop of a hat but it was always busy so don’t know why they’ve changed this! Also interconnecting rooms are a big no no - you may as well be staying in a room with strangers as you can here Everything!!! Such a shame as it’s lovely and seems to lack a little consistency. If it’s not broke then don’t fix it!

This hotel was great, better than I was expecting. 4 pools and a splash park gives everyone enough space without feeling cramped. Having 2 separated areas (family area & relax area) ensured many different people can enjoy this hotel. We booked the standard double room, it was very spacious and clean, the bed was huge, we had a smart tv and a fridge in the room which was a plus. All rooms also have a table and chairs and drying rack outside. The half board points/money system they have is amazing, would highly recommend this hotel for this concept alone. Breakfast was good and always fresh, could have been a few more hot food options. Dinner options were limited and was probably the only negative point I can make on this hotel. This didn’t affect us to much as we was happy to eat along the beach each day trying different restaurants and could use our money for drinks/lunch in the hotel during the day/evening. The hotel also has a cleaning rewards scheme, if you agree to postpone your room clean to help save on water etc the hotel rewards you with €10 each day you postpone your clean, we received €40 during our stay. Would highly recommend this hotel to others and we will be returning.

I had such high hopes for this hotel. The concept is brilliant…a healthy hotel that as it says in the name is all about ‘MYND’ and wellness. This hotel is far from that. When we arrived we got a warm welcome- dropped our luggage and went for a walk to wait for our room. When we came back to check in we weren’t informed of bar/restaurant openings times, check out etc. All this info is done solely by QR codes you find dotted around the hotel. Fine for myself but I’ve had to explain the credit system etc to more than one guest who wasn’t properly informed. The food is substandard. I am half board and the evening meal is supposed to include a main meal from a menu as well as the tiny cold buffet (wasn’t informed till we complained and refused to pay for a cold buffet). When raised an issue about the buffet we were told there’s a microwave and we should have heated it. Or we could use our credits (the half board system) to go in the Al a carte but it gets booked 3 days in advance- leaving us with little for the rest of the holiday as the meals can be 30/40 euro each and our credit is about 25 per person a day (Not good enough for a 4 star whatsoever). Bars are understaffed, takes 20/30 minutes to get served. One morning I went to the bar a few minutes early the man working behind the bar served the gentleman in front of me and then I had to wait. Upon raising this was told I should have walked back to breakfast got a drink and then gone back to the pool. (Having no where accessible at pool level to even get a water before breakfast closes at 11/half 11 is crazy). Same day ordered 4 of the SAME cocktail at once to be told I’d have to wait as the girl behind the bar couldn’t make 4 on her own. She served other people while telling me to wait for her colleague to return. I sympathise with her and she clearly couldn’t cope with cocktails even with the book open to explain them. Why leave staff on their own on the bar if they haven’t been trained or aren’t confident. Room barely cleaned since I’ve been here. Empty glasses from the bar not removed. You’re lucky if they make the bed. To be clear the staff seem overworked and undertrained. The hotel is clearly understaffed with often only one person on the bar at a time. Staff seem to have been hired with little to no knowledge of what the job entails and speaking to the guest relations manager confirmed my suspicions they are ‘desperate’ for staff. The higher management need to have a serious look at how they are running this hotel as quite frankly I cannot see it remaining open as a business if they continue in the manner they are. I am still waiting a resolve from upper management who told me I’d have one yesterday. Guest relations have my mobile number and room number but it’s empty words. The pools are lovely. The relax zone is great and it’s a beautiful hotel but everything else lets it down.

The most amazing place - beautifully clean with great sized rooms. I love the breakfast and there is lots of variety. Only complaint is that there never seems to be enough bar or reception staff on shift meaning lots of queuing - that said, this was our third time visiting so it’s definitely not something that would prevent us from booking. The staff are always friendly despite being so busy. We were upgraded to a suite with our own pool which was AMAZING!!!! The hotel is right in the middle between the harbour and marina with lots of restaurants and bars close by.

Writing this whilst staying here . If you are incapable of carrying your luggage up a flight of stairs don’t stay here as there is no lift or no one to help you with your case . Restaurant food , was awful , buffet is 21 euros or 27 euros for the buffet and principal meal . We weren’t told about the principal menu until I complained about the 21 euros for sad salad and lukewarm warm cooked food .. No one to greet us into the restaurant , no menu offered by waiters . I spoke with one of the managers and was told we should have been offered a menu although everything is digital, so you have to scan the QR code , something we weren’t told on arrival . When I mentioned the Luke warm hot food I was actually told there were microwaves in the restaurant I could have used to heat my food up . I said you’ll want me to wash up next Totally unbelievable. You can use your half board credits at the snack bar , but who wants to eat pizza and burger everyday. It could be a really nice hotel , rooms and public spaces are clean , but to be honest the whole experience has put me off from even coming again and I’ve only been here 3 days

We have just returned from a great holiday at MYND, the hotel is kept really clean, the pool area is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather, the room is a good size, very comfortable bed and a good clean bathroom area. The €27 Euro credit is a great idea to pay for drinks and snacks although I did find the lady in the snack ordering area quite rude. In all the other bars especially the lobby bar I found the staff very polite and served you with a smile. Sadly if your looking for a decent evening meal I wouldn't suggest eating in the hotel, the buffet is by far the worst I have ever had, the hot food was at best warm, repetitive is an understatement, I can't find anything to say positive about it. The breakfast is okay, it just seems a battle to get everything, knives and forks are in short supply along with dishes. Overall I would return to MYND as we really had a great time, it's location is great and the credit system is a really good idea once you realise what to spend it on. It is good to see this hotel trying to do things differently
