We were here September 2023 & we really enjoyed it we returned this June 2024. A couple of the previous animation team have sadly left Victor & Mica but Javi & the 3 new girls Marta, Laura & Yumi were brilliant. We had a great time with them. On arrival we had a bit of a wait to check in, must admit they still dont have enough staff on reception, same as last year. We were finally checked in by a very welcoming Nicole. She gave us all the detailed info for the All Inclusive package. We had HB last year. Also our room was ready which was great. Room 101 with a Seaview. Room was very nice, small but fine. Great view of pool & sea. Only ****** was everytime we showered (daily) it flooded the bathroom floor. Just a bad fitting seal. We mentioned it to reception when we checked out so hopefully they will sort it. We just got on with with it but to other guests they may complain. We hired the safe. Makes me laugh about comments on money going missing etc. Hire the safe!!! Simples, yes you have to pay but for the amount it's a no brainer!!! You get the deposit back. Food this year I felt had slightly gone downhill. Choice & quality not as good in my opinion. The restaurant & pool bar staff were great as usual. Evening entertainment was good although for June there were alot of young children running about, over the equipment being set up for some of the shows & the parents doing nothing!!! Seemed left to the animation team to calm them down!! Not on. Parents take responsibility for your own kids! I'm sure they'd have something to say if they hurt themselves. Location of the hotel is great. Everything you want in a stones throw. Again makes me laugh when people say it's over a loud bar. Dont people do their research before they go?! It's been 15 years since my last trip to Tenerife and the comments below are based on international five star hotel experiences around the globe. So here's what I experienced on this reservation:- Positives 1.Check in / out process fast and professional. 2.Direct beach access via the pool area. 3.Breakfast buffet with internal and external seating choices was excellent. 4.Evening entertainment between 21:00 and 23:00 Hrs was good. Negatives 1. Allocated R3101 upon arrival and entered to find the bath tub was extremely dirty and required solvent cleaning to remove large accumulation of water scale dirt around plug area (Approx 200mm in dia). Root cause of this problem is a leakage from the shower hose connection which remains to be fixed. 2. TV was on and could not be turned off. This was rectified by Maintenace changing the batteries within the remote control. 3. Sink plunger mechanism was broken and I was shown how to remove the plug on a daily basis once housekeeping cleaned the room. 4. Locking mechanism on the balcony sliding door is broken and extremely hard to open / closed. 5. Only one, yes one pool towel provided / guest at the pool via a plastic card that you are required to exchange at the pool towel bar. If you forget this card it's a return trip to the room. General Travel Tips. 1. Taxi from TFS Airport to hotel cost 25 Euro each way. 2. Hard Rock Cafe located next door (£££). 3. Great Italian, Thai, Japanese and British restaurants located on the second floor off the shopping complex across the road from the hotel (££££)

Reception: Our checkin agent, Cesar, was extremely helpful. He even remembered us at check out and made a joke to us. Room / facilities: Room number 8327 is on the 3 floor and is fairly clean. There is a self control air conditioning with a balcony door that opens which overlooks the pool. The room has 2 single beds joined to make a king bed , unsupportive pillows, small flat screen TV, table with 2 chairs, a hanging area with a valuables safe inside, (the safe door swings open when not used, due to it being installed at an unlevel angle), the bathroom has a tub with shower, bidet and toilet (that constantly drips). After advising reception, a repair man visited, and strangely, INSTANTLY knew what the problem was as he entered the room. However after departing the room they failed to fix the constant drip. The toilet continued to drip during our stay. This constant drip is very annoying once you are aware if it. There is a small bar fridge, (but no tea or coffee facilities). Furniture is very dated and has suffered a lot of wear and tear over time. Parking: is available for free with 2 parking areas that accommodate approx 25 cars, for the 500+ rooms in the hotel. It seems that all open air parking (excluding parking garages) on the island are free of charge. Wifi: Complementary. On our first night the wifi was super mega slow and atrocious to use, and failed multiple times to open any website, even though its advertised as premium Wifi. The Wifi connection dropped out regularly, required multiple password re-input and was just super, super, super slow, even when trying on multiple devices. After 2 calls to reception the night of our arrival, there was nothing they could do until the technician could attend to the problem at 10.30am the following day. I had to resort to my 4G data to gain any connection. The wifi was functioning the next day. Breakfast: Included and available for all guests. The buffet style consisted of fruits, cereals, hot eggs (precooked or freshly cooked), sausages, bacon, crumbed chicken pieces, baked beans, cold meats, juices, pastries, breads, tea and coffee. Be aware of the human vultures that swarm the food, as if there was no possibility of refill. Conclusion: Great looking hotel from the outside and foyer areas, but walk into the room, you immediately step back 20 years into a tired dated room. Letdowns: Initially the wifi not functioning and dropping out, the constantly dripping toilet, poor/lack of in room amenities, tired furniture. As the foyer bar was closed, i rang reception and requested for and ice bucket to be delivered to the room, which would have incurred a €3 charge this to me is unacceptable. Previously, at the foyer bar, i asked for 2 glasses of ice, but could only receive one as the barman said “the ice machine is broken”. Or was it due to the hotel ice delivery was insufficient to cater for the number of guests in the hotel? Location / Nearby: Arona town main street and all its

Absolutely loved it! Best breakfast i have ever had! The room was big and spacious, the bed really comfy (a little bit hard, but rather that than to soft). We asked for a sunny terrace, and yes we got it! Thank you! The service the front desk was excellent, and there was no problem finding sunbeds by the pool. The staff at the pool bar was the sweetest and very caring. Loved that the manager took his morning-round and talked to the guest during breakfast. There is a steak restaurant called the Bank, - it was absolutely brilliant. Only downside is me missed some kind of pianobar, or some cosy place to take a glass of wine in the evenings, or when we got back to the hotel after dinner. And unfortunately, the beach club did not at all show the same quality when it came to food and service. So hopefully they will do something about this, so the standard will be the same here.

The hotel is lovely with fantastic views of the sea and local hospital! The pool was inviting a tad cold but that’s to be expected this time of year. We had a 3 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms big lounge and 6 sunbeds. The apartment needs some updating but the beds were very comfortable. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. We didn’t eat in the restaurant only drinks which were a bit pricey The rooms were not cleaned unless you asked them to be neither were the towels changed again unless you asked. We didn’t bother in the end and picked up new towels from reception. There are pool towels if you want them. If you want a takeaway reception will give you a menu which was very good There is a small supermarket up the hill for basics and if you are happy to walk 10mins up a hill the treehouse restaurant is a must. The biggest downfall is the location you can not walk into town due to it being on a main road. The accommodation is very close to the main road so always woken up by motorbikes and cars from 5am. Taxis are easy to get hold of through reception or you can try getting a bus either the 418 or 482 but the times are hit and miss. Overall if you want something out the way but very comfortable this is the place for you.

Great team in Gran Tacande ... from arrival at reception last Sunday (18 August), first meal that night (recognised by staff from last year). The whole experience wonderful for us and two adult sons. Special thanks to to Cosmin, Oliver and Dodi (amongst only a few) who took care of us in the restaurant, Monica in the Spa, Saviero x 2 in the bar, Moussa for his constant positivity at breakfast and dinner, Monica in the Spa and really the entire Gran Tacande Team (led by Christina and Maria). Rooms kept impeccably clean (352/353) every day by the nicest team ever, nothing was a problem. Well done everyone, see you in February 2025 :-)

My partner and I had a wonderful week here together. The flat was huge, well equipped with everything we needed, and the bed as super comfy. The staff went above and beyond for us to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed (including finding us an HDMI cable as we forgot ours). The pools are lovely (the non heated one was still warm enough to be enjoyable), and the private spa rental was lovely for a few hours. It is a very easy bus to Los Abrigos or a short walk to San Blas (best done when it is a bit cooler), and they booked us a taxi to get back to the airport. You can hear the airplanes as it is fairly close to the airport but we didn't find it disruptive.

The restaurant has been renamed and revamped. The gym is brilliant and the air conditioning was very welcome by the end of my workout. The wicker furniture on the Ocean Breeze Terrace needs replacing but does not detract from the overall experience. Some of the entertainment on the Ocean Breeze leaves a lot to be desired as mentioned by a lot of our family and friends. The gardens were the perfect place to hold our Vow Renewal Ceremony and the staff were utterly brilliant, friendly and welcoming. We couldn't have asked for a better venue for our Vow Renewal or a better holiday. Many of our guests were crying when they had to go home. The pool is inviting and the pool activities were great to watch and take part in.
