The Fives Beach Hotel & Residences - All Senses Inclusive

The resort was wonderful. Restaurants excellent. Clean many options for swimming and eating . Staff went above and beyond. My only complaint is there are no laundry facilities. All your laundry must be sent out and the cost is prohibitive.

Wonderful large resort property with many great restaurant choices. Beach has a small swimmable area that will satisfy your saltwater & sand craving. Pools are great! Our family enjoyed very good Karisma (Prestige Travelers) service during our stay. This resort has become independently managed and not affiliated with Karisma and then it has rejoined a relationship again. Need to visit again for an updated review.

The property is beautiful and staff are great. The restaurants are small and don’t take reservations. Dinner every night was chaotic. The infinity pool was the most active but seating there was limited. They have put Bibb Eads everywhere in charge you an absorbent fee to be able to use them. So seating at the main pool is extremely limited and a real pain to get they charged you money for ice cream and special coffees instead of having it as part of the all inclusive. They just nickel and dime you wherever they could. I would not go back.

Having stayed at the Fives beach hotel and residences from the 9/5-23/5 I feel the need to share our experience. We choose the Fives because of the previous reviews even though some were negative the good ones sounded amazing and we were not disappointed. We stayed in room 724-2 the room is generally well appointed but does show signs of ware but was more than acceptable. The resort is huge and has plenty to offer all groups and families. On our first morning we went to the Flavours buffet restaurant which had a great selection of foods my wife had some scrambled eggs that were cold but that was the only thing that was a negative. The next morning we met our TUI rep and was asked if we had any complaints to which my wife said not really a complaint but the egg was cold . The following day when we went for breakfast we were met by Carlos who was a manager and apologised for the previous day and every day after that we were asked if everything was okay and did we need anything. The level of service we received for the rest of holiday was nothing short of incredible. The restaurants are varied and we could not fault them at all,they offer a brilliant selection on the menus. The star of the restaurants is Arezzo and a big shout to waiters Armenta and Mercado who are outstanding. There is a few more people who need picking out Monserat and Joshua from the Fives team who always made sure were happy and if they could do something for us.Tino from the beach waiters who learnt our names after a couple of days and looked after us well. Alejandro from Mar holidays in the plaza who helped us with our trips and booking bali beds,A big shout to wendy in flavours who looked after us especially well every morning.Finally a big thank you to Carlos who went out of his way for us. If you’re thinking about a holiday in Mexico give this place a go ,the resort,the food,the wildlife make this place a must, but most of all the staff. Massive thank you for the best holiday my wife and I have ever had and without a doubt we will be back next year.

We just returned to cold Canada from our 8 day stay at The Fives Beach Resort and Residences. We travelled with our 2 teenage daughters. We all agreed that this was a great relaxing family vacation. The two bedroom Villa 2 was so spacious and my children loved having their own room, bathroom and big screen TV. Our bedroom and living area had a full kitchen (not stocked), dining table, sectional couch, french doors going into our king bedroom with large stand alone bathtub and separate shower. We were across from the jungle boardwalk so it felt like we were in the jungle with monkeys and coati's seen daily. The food was top notch! I have food intolerances (gluten) and when you signed in to each restaurant or buffet they always asked if we had any food allergies. When I stated gluten intolerance they put my worries to ease with either showing me around the buffet and pointing out all the gluten free options or assisting me with the menu. For those that stated the staff are not friendly and not enough I am not sure were are reviewing the same resort. This resort has staff everywhere you look and you can't pass one with getting a smile and a Hola. They are willing to go the extra mile for you. We brought Peso's and tipped when we could. I was surprised at how often I saw people not tipping. These hard working employees rely on tips for the majority of their income. It doesn't take much to show your appreciation for their hard work. We tipped at all restaurants, buffet and swim up bars, smoothy place and of course our housekeepers who were awesome. Thank you Juanita and Omar for keeping our place so clean! We enjoyed one tour-Tulum, Cenote and Snorkeling which was amazing. All other times we moved between one of the many pools and beach and took part in a few pool and beach volleyball tournaments. When we need another relaxing vacation we will be back!

All Inclusive sounds nice until you visit one. Terrible food, Terrible Service, Terrible booze. No ice in rooms and no ice makers. I ordered ice by room service 4 times and it never showed up. Left resort everyday to eat in town because the food was so bad. But if all inclusive is your thing, have at it.
