There is no detail not included. The staff is amazing to the point where it seems like the staff to guest ratio is 1:1. Carolina who was the direct contact at the hotel if you needed something went above and beyond. The pool and the service could not have been any better

We couldn't have chose a better all inclusive resort for our 10 year anniversary! From the moment we checked in, we were welcomed by the staff, and we happened to get assigned to Carolina who went out of her way to fulfill our needs, and suggested some things we didn't even think about ahead of time, making our experience that much better from beginning to end! Carolina handled all our dinner reservations, followed up fast with any assistance we needed in a very timely matter, they can even assign two of their channels on the TV for special events, like NHL playoffs for instance! Helping us find some in room needs like nail files, hair mousse from the boutique nearby. And even scheduling in room service food early in the morning on our very last day before checkout, so we weren't hungry at the airport. Carolina does it all!!! She really made us feel like she was our personal assistant throughout our entire visit. And that is what made it that much of a difference for our experience at Grand Velas All the food at the restaurants, from the ones you can access to daily, to the dinner reservations were both out of this world, phenomenal! This is a place you come to , to clear your mind and allow yourself to fully immerse into actually enjoying a day off again without thought of responsibilities, and pulls you away from your everyday work mentality. I can truly say I can actually turn off my mental switch to finally relax once we arrived to our room. Truly a blessing to experience such a gorgeous resort for the week. We hope to be able to come back in a year! Thank you for having us. 🙌❤️🥂

Nuestra estancia fue maravillosa, el trato de todo el personal fue excelente! Pero me gustaría hacer una mención muy especial y Carolina Collado que es una estupenda persona, muy atenta, muy amable y siempre no brindo la mejor atención. Y también me gustaría mencionar a todas las personas de bistró porque nos atendieron de maravilla!

We took the family (two 12yo kids) here for our spring break vacation and were so impressed. Every space was immaculately clean, every employee was kind and friendly, and the food was great. I recommend the Casa Tortuga tour where you go to Akumal bay and snorkel with giant sea turtles and sting rays, and swim through cenotes (natural pools). Our guide was Luis and he was great. We also went on a bike tour with Karla who was very friendly and taught us about the local plants and animals. At the hotel our concierge was Carolina and she went way above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful week. Besides helping us find activities and remember our dinner times she even brought fresh picked aloe vera for our sunburns and put together a very special birthday surprise. She was so friendly and sincere and her presence was a highlight of our week. At other all-inclusive resorts they only have buffet meals so we appreciated that GV has multiple restaurants to choose from and at most of them you sit down and order from a menu (the buffet restaurant was perfect for breakfast though and the service there was just as good as everywhere else). We would wake up in our comfortable beds and spend a leisurely morning watching the pelicans dive for fish, and then spend lovely lazy days at the pool or the beach. The kids’ only complaint was that there are no deep pools, but they still spent hours playing in the water everyday. They also liked the teen club where they could play table games and video games. Great place for a family vacation!

The hospitality of Grand Velas Riviera Maya was over the top. We knew it would be good but didn’t see greatness coming. The restaurants were delicious, the bars fantastic. Chaka the Mayan restaurant on site was delicious. We also did a Rum tasting experience with Orlando that was educational and delicious. This was an overall fantastic experience and we are already planning the next trip down. Either sitting on the beach while the staff are there for you every need with the all inclusive spirits that are fantastic and high end to sitting in the room in your own personal plunge pool having refreshments from the full stocked snack and beverage refrigerator you will not ever really need anything. If you can think of it they most likely have it for you.

Outstanding. The room, the service, the food, the proximity to the ocean—it was all above and beyond. Everyone on staff seemed genuinely happy to be there, and we felt so welcome the entire time. We were particularly impressed with Chaka restaurant. We will be back.

While the dinner food was excellent, lunch was terrible for vegetarians, and the rooms had temperature control issues due to faulty doors. Overall, the cost of the stay was unreasonable. Poolside service was slow and inconsistent, and the prices for photos and massages were outrageous. Even the advertised Costco discount had hidden restrictions. I don't recommend this resort unless you're prepared to pay a premium for average amenities

Great resort, beautiful beach but terrible dining at dinner only restaurants (Piaf and Sen Lin were the worst, followed by Frida; Lucca was fine). Azul was great for both breakfast and lunch. The worst part was our concierge entered our room twice without our permission!
