It was a great place to stay

From the moment we walked through the front entrance we were treated as if we were long lost friends. The team, from reception to the cleaning teams, were friendly and incredibly helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We had a first floor apartment with two ensuite bedrooms overlooking the pool. The apartment had a well equipped kitchen, laundry room, lounge and large balcony, all beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. The gardens and pool area are well tended and secure . The property is in easy walking distance of great eating/drinking places and yet is quiet and peaceful. We both loved the cats - Jimmy and Coco, they have to be the best fed kitties in town!

Great location and staying!

Great location right on 5th Ave. We stayed on the Palmar side in rm 203. My dad is handicapped with a walker, and there are a couple of slightly narrow, steeper wheelchair ramps that you must navigate to get from 1st floor elevator down to the street level. If you have assistance, it's probably ok. My dad was able to carefully walk up and down the ramps with his walker. There is a small "four person" elevator, but it will fit a wheelchair, a couple carry-ons, and an extra person, snugly. All passageways to the rooms are flat and easy when exiting the elevator. Room 203 fit our needs perfectly for our quick 4 night stay. Plenty of space. The patio overlooks the pool area. No issues. Expect to buy everything you need from the store. They don't seem to keep *any* food items whatsoever left over from previous tenants like many Airbnb's typically do. There is a large grocery store just a few blocks away. Numerous restaurant options within walking distance. Chez Celine is on 5th and is attached to the Palmar building. Excellent breakfast/bakery spot.

We really enjoyed our stay at Riviera Maya Suites. we had a garden facing balcony/apartment. The hotel is in a bit of a green space, jungle like with lots of birds and some other small animals, from the map looks like it covers a block or two in Playa Del Carmen. The garden facing apartment made it very quiet but there was lots of action just a block away at 5th avenue or the other direction at the beach. great balcony with hammocks, tons of room in the apartment for our family of 6. bathroom with shower in each room. laundry facility in room was very useful after excursions and beach time. super friendly staff and the room cleaners did a great job. Pool was fantastic and not busy - our family mostly had it to ourselves. Rooftop patio was also great view of surrounding buildings and the ocean/sunrise. It was great. we hope to be back sometime - maybe next year.

Great location. We were at a standard room. They are basic but good relation with the price you pay. I recommend to choose the bungalows in the garden around the pool. Inmejorable ubicacion. Estuvimos en una habitacion standard, basica pero acorde al precio. Recomiendo optar por los bungalows alrededor del jardin y la pileta.
