We have stayed at this property for years but after covid seems a little worn down. Our room did not have hot water and the nozel to the shower was rusted and old. They also didnt give use any amenities like soap or shower n conditioner. They're was a small platic soap dispenser that was almost broken too. When we went down to ask about the hot water we were told it was going to get fixed but nothing was fixed until the following day when we were checking out. Bed was not comfortable and you only get a sheet to sleep there was no blanket or anything else.Hopefully they can improve and look into upgrades and repainting the property.

Old with lots of deferred maintenance
Room had a bed & dresser. That’s it. No chairs.
Pillows were flat
No hot water, or took forever to get hot.
Windows don’t close/lock, bugs bugs bugs
5 lightbulbs were broken
Mosquitoes
No floor mats in bathroom
Water is rusty and smells
Faucets and shower head rusty
Pool area was dreary
3 pool lounges. All rusted and broken
No umbrellas
No shady so no one uses the pool for long
Pool was murky
TV didnt work for 4 days. Asked 7 different people to fix. Slow response from staff.

Pesimo servicio y personal absurdo...la limpueza no existe en esto hotel...alberca buena pero sin seguridad..ruido toda la noche...ruido y sin dormir..es en 5 avenida ok..pero si te gusta dormiir olvidalo...mejor un hostal a dos o tres quadras...pesimo

The hotel room was dirty, rust in the sink, mold in the fridge, the shower door was falling off, no water pressure, toilet wouldn't flush well. Also ******* charged me $58 per day, there was a sign outside advertising my room at $40 per day. The staff did their best but unless the hotel gets major maintenance I wouldn't recommend booking there.

No acostumbro a realizar comentaros negativos de los hoteles, prefiero comentárselos en persona, tampoco ser un crítico de detalles pretenciosos, pero debo ser lo mas parcial en mis comentarios para futuros viajeros. El Hotel Vista Caribe Diving Resort tiene una excelente ubicación (a 30m de la 5ta Avenida y 60m de la Playa) es limpio y con buena instalaciones (antesala con frigobar y microonda), linda pileta, en fin todo lo indispensable para ser un hotel con mucho potencial, pero tiene detalles que podrían mejorar y mucho. Caudal y presión de agua, un internet de calidad, TV por cable ( que funciones), aptitud en la recepción y que el cliente tenga acceso a un teléfono en recepción (aunque sea de pago para tener la posibilidad de comunic**** en una emergencia) cuando solicite un telefono me comunicaron que busque alguno en el centro de Playa del Carmen el de Recepción no era para los huesped . Vuelvo a repetir que es una lastima porque es un lindo hotel con un potencial muy bueno si se esmeraran y mejoraran un poco mas.

Location is perfect, just few steps from the beach front. The hotel staff, front desk(Kevin & Angel) were both very accommodating, they provided us with a single burner, pot, pan and plates, so we could cook sometimes in our room. You're also on 5th avenue, so many shops and restaurants available if you're willing to walk. They also provided a couple of cute beach chair to us, every evening we used them to sit and relax on the beach. The cleaning lady was also very nice and cleans your room every day if you ask. Over all it was a good stay and we will go back. Disliked · The pool water was most of the time still and not filtered often!! They did filter them sometimes when they had scuba diving classes in there. Also a lot of dead leaves from the big tree hanging over the pool!! The showers at the pool were very good(better than the one in the room). At last and the worst was the internet speed, so slow and they said they couldn't help it. kept disconnecting in the living room and no connection in the bedroom(about 2-3 MBS.
