Wonderful helpful staff. Cute traditional hotel in the middle of all the action but a few streets over so the noise it not a problem.

After a horrible night at a nearby hotel, my husband and I moved over to Acanto for a 6 night stay. They let us check in early which we were very grateful for. Our room was lovely, comfy bed and very clean. Right off of 5th Avenue and a block from the beach. Great location and a super friendly staff. I would recommend!

From the moment we walked in there we knew we made the right decision. The place was super clean and the front desk, Lily and Miguel were so friendly and helpful our entire stay. The beds were comfortable, breakfast was perfect, and the pool was clean & relaxing. Walking distance to the beach, shops , food and entertainment. We had the best time and will definitely be back.

I am really surprised that Wyndham would put their name on this hotel. The rooms are tiny. The faucet in the bathroom does not align properly with the sink making it almost impossible to use without getting the counter all wet. I could hear loud music until 4am, and what sounded like a pump cycling every 3-5 minutes all night long. It was so loud it would wake me up even after I managed to get to sleep. The shower was impossible to turn on without getting blasted with cold water. The front doors are windows that look right in to the bed. The only reason why I am not giving it one star is because the night security guard is super nice and helpful.

Vi har haft en underbar vistelse på detta ljuvliga lilla hotell. Kan verkligen rekommendera att bo här om man önskar ett mindre personligt boende. Miguel var helt underbar och gjorde att vi alltid kände oss väl omhändertagna.

Location was great. Property is old, room was super small, lady in front desk was rude.
No hair dryer, no iron, no coffee machine, you have to ask.
Small pool in the middle so it’s noisy when people swim and hang around.
The only thing is the location was good.

I enjoyed my stay at Acanto with my husband and 1 year old. Miguel on night shift was the best! He was very friendly and hasty to fullfill all needs including multiple towels, body wash/shampoo/conditioner, and coming up to help me figure out my AC. The rooms are spacious with a full size kitchen, huge bedroom and good sized living room. We also had a balcony that we could access from our room and the living room. The staff also set up a crib for my 1 year old which she slept in comfortably! When I asked for house keeping I got it right away. The only down side is that the elevator is very small and a bit sketchy. It had issues at times so I opted for stairs to be on the safe side. The pool area is cute and cozy. It has very relaxing vibes. The continental breakfast is basic, but good for something quick and easy. The front desk arranged the shuttle to pick up and drop off from the airport and would call for the taxi for my husband and I! I wish there was an iron and hair dryer in the room. We had to ask for an iron, even though we had an ironing board. If this place had laundry machines it would be even more amazing!! Overall, enjoyed my stay. Thank you Miguel!!

Beautiful rooms. 1, 2 & 3 Bedroom options. Great location. 1/2 of a block from 5th street, yet quiet. Excellent staff. Free parking. Have stayed many times and plan on staying again whenever in Playa Del Carmen with friends.
