Aparthotel Bahia Pollensa

This was our 10th visit to the hotel and will not our last. The hotel is always very clean and the staff are all great. Best of all however are the 'premium' suites which are spacious and have their own terrace with sun beds etc and access to their own small pool with loungers. There are only 9 so it is never noisy or busy. We use the hotel as a base for the beech just 250 metres away which is idyllic, with parasols and sunbeds to hire and a beach bar just up the coast. Its a walk into town but well worth it down the esplanade or just get a taxi for a few euros. This is no 5 star luxury hotel but is a perfect base for a quiet holiday in Mallorca. Get a premium suite on a bed & breakfast basis and enjoy!

The hotel is gorgeous with newly decorated rooms. We had a suite with sun beds on the balcony and a lovely view. The terrace at the front has huge comfy daybeds and is just across the road for a dip in the sea. There is a lovely rooftop sundeck in the adjacent building with plunge pool and good sun beds. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice although the juices all tasted watery. We went on a half board basis but after 2 nights we ate dinner out as we felt the offering to be of poor quality. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. There had been some rain which led to a high number of mosquitoes so repellent was essential and not 100% effective. We would go back but on a bed and breakfast basis.

The hotel is very nice with great staff. The location is good, just across the road from the beach. Breakfast was absolutely first class with a great voice of quality food. The bar and lunch offering was equally good. Our side room was 'compact' but spotless even though it wasn't cleaned until late in the day despite putting the 'please clean the room' sign on the door early. Check in was painful as we waited 30 minutes as there was for most of the time only one member of staff. It took ages for the two previous people who wanted to ask so many questions it was rather frustrating. There are some very misleading pictures of what appears to be a swimming pool on the roof, and even the lift button had swimming pool on it. Well this is not the case as there is a very small plunge pool about 4 meters long! Very disappointing. Nice sunbathing area with great views. The real swimming pool was cold as it's out of the sun most of the day at the rear of the hotel in rather poor area. There are no indications of depth around the pool and no life buoy ring. The room didn't have wash cloths (face flannels) or tissues which is unusual for the price. I didn't complete the hotel's questionnaire as it was poorly designed and left no space to write any comments of value.
Club del Sol Aparthotel

The facilities are very nice, modern after refurbishment, especially the main building with reception in it. The rooms were spacious, clean and well equipped. Unfortunately the hospitality side of this hotel was not great. We were travelling with our young child, 2 and a half. After requesting before we arrived to have a quiet room away from the pool and evening entertainment so our child could sleep, we arrived to our room directly behind the pool and stage. We were given a garden room which overlooked the carpark! The noise was unbearable. Every evening from 8pm - 11pm and it could be heard indoors even with our child’s white noise machine on maximum volume. The music begins at 10am at the pool side and doesn’t finish until 4pm. On social media you are promised a relaxing, luxurious stay but unfortunately that was not our experience. We requested to move for the above reasons and were told everything was booked up and nothing could be done for us. I also sent an email voicing my concerns again when we arrived home and didn’t receive any reply. Very disappointing. If you want your children to be able to sleep before 11pm, this is not the hotel for you. Surrounding area very nice though, breakfast was good. Cleaning & bar/ restaurant staff very friendly.
Cabot Pollensa Park Spa

I absolutely love Puerto Pollensa. Having stayed at Pollensa Park and Spa six or seven times in the last 12 years, under Cabot and Fergus management, I was excited to be returning for another stay, especially as we'd splashed out and booked one of the newly-refurbished 'Superior Sea View Double Rooms'. Unfortunately, the excitement was short lived. Allocated a fourth-floor room right next to the lifts and stairwell (not a great start when you're a light sleeper), we opened the door to discover a room that seriously lacked any consideration to the requirements of a traveller on holiday – basically, space to put your stuff. Combine this with the quality of workmanship that could not have been any further away from the 'Superior' description if it had tried – large exposed holes in the bedroom and bathroom, burn holes in surfaces, and the worst paint job I've ever seen in a hotel, regardless of it's star rating. We immediately asked if we could change rooms, to one of the older rooms, forgoing the extra money we'd paid for the 'Superior' room, predominantly due to the noisy position, but were only offered a similar-style 'Superior' room overlooking the noisy street. The once reasonably-adequate storage space for clothes, had been replaced with an indoor 'cubby-hole' seating area, which I doubt anyone will ever use for that purpose. A new (wonky) clothes rail with a dozen hangers sat alongside a 4-shelf unit – not wide enough to fit a folded t-shirt on. No other storage space. No drawers. Not even any hooks. Really not sure where the team responsible for this refurbishment at Cabot Pollensa Park and Spa think two people are going to store 10 days/two weeks worth of clothes etc in their 'Superior' rooms? Even the safe has been moved from a handy, eye-level position in the older rooms, to a low-level unit, making it really difficult to see to use and also, I should imagine, not ideal for older people who'd struggle to bend down to use it. During our stay we had to ask twice to have the floors cleaned (there was stains on the floor from the previous occupants when we moved into the room), despite this being listed as a daily occurrence. Communal areas in the hotel weren't cleaned regularly and the areas around the large sunbeds had plastic cups, paper bags, pool floats laying around for days without being cleaned away. Cooked food at breakfast was luke-warm at best and on checking out, we weren't even asked if we'd enjoyed our stay. Jet2 pitch Pollensa Park and Spa as a 4-star hotel. Not anymore. Really not sure what has happened here? Our 10-night experience has left me saddened and confused (that a once-loved hotel has got something so fundamental to its existence so very wrong) and incredibly tired as I barely slept due to the lift noise, guests up and down the stairs all night, a really uncomfortable bed and being struck down with the resident sickness and diarrhea bug for 2 days. My love for Puerto Pollensa will live on, but no longer at thi

It is a resort-like serviced apartment. The facilities are very new and perfect. The price of less than 600 in the off-season is also very good (excluding early). The location is a bit biased, but the entire port is ten minutes away from the center. The only inconvenience is that wifi must install its home app before it can only be used for half an hour.
