Residence Inn Fort Lauderdale Pompano Beach/Oceanfront

If you want to bring your own food and camp at the beach for a few days with no other activities or shopping, then this place is great! There really isn’t any shopping/dining in the immediate area, but on the other hand, you’re right on the beach. Frank at the valet was awesome! I usually dread not being able to self park, but my car was there super fast each time. When I arrived, he even brought all my luggage up to the room for me. Hotel overall was okay. Could be cleaner and more organized. It took way too many efforts to get non down pillows and blanket.

Arrived on time but had to wait until 5pm to check in (check in is 4pm). Room view is okay but we expected it to be facing the water more. It will be hard to recommend this hotel unless they put us in a better location.

Amazing staff! The front office staff was so nice and helpful! They had hear it was my daughters 5th birthday and left her a little gift bag! They definitely made it a stay to remember. Frank the valet was awesome! He was so helpful and went above and beyond! My daughter loved him so much!

ust stayed here 4/20/24 to 4/27/24. The staff at the hotel were incredible. I have to start with the breakfast staff. They were so customer focused, hard workers, and just incredible people. Especially, Porsia and Bridgette. Couldn't do enough to make the guests happy. The beach and pool staff were also incredible. They attended to all your needs. Especially, Joshua, Nick and Derrick. So pleasant and respectful and hard working. Valet staff, Frank and Daniel were great. Always smiling and very customer serviced focused as well. Luis, Engineer, was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were always clean but very outdated. The furniture was scratched, chipping, and very beat up. The rooms need a good painting and new furniture. This would make the stay 100% perfect. Great location, great free breakfast, and staff including Front Desk, Restaurant, Bar, Pool, Beach, Valet, Housekeeping and engineers.

Safe and quiet with an easy parking

Not sure I'd stay here again. Room was quite drab and a bit dank. The sofa bed was sunken in the middle. There were no sofa bed linens in the room, so we had to ask for some. My daughter made up the bed, tried it out, and said "No Way." She then tried taking the mattress off the frame and placing it on the floor. It felt awful. The metal springs were horribly uncomfortable. Lamp shade and sofa had stains. Blackout drapes are full of tiny holes that let in the light. A big lack of outlets / USB ports by the bed. Air conditioner is extremely noisy. Our travel sound machine (white noise) didn't help drown it out. We finally switched the thermostat from Auto to On (fan) so it wouldn't stop and start constantly. Carpet was dingy and had a few crumbs that were missed by the vacuum. Breakfast are is tiny and cramped. Hard to get through and get food without bumping into someone. Nowhere to sit and eat breakfast. Front desk staff was a bit lacking with warmth and friendliness. Pool is very small, and the staff does not enforce "lounger saving." I saw a family place items on four loungers, place a beach bag on a four-top umbrella table, and leave to go to the beach. We had to skip the pool and move to the beach several times b/c all the chairs were "claimed" at the pool. Also, not the hotel's fault, but the building is sandwiched between two other condo/hotel buildings, and the early morning trash pickup and dumpster banging is very loud. And the threshold onto the balcony is very high and hard to step over without tripping. Nice views of the beach, good beachside restaurant, plenty of towels for outdoor use.
