It is a beautiful location overlooking the sea. The rooms and bathroom are spacious with a sitting area. Beds are good. It was very clean and quiet. No noise and loud music or rowdy crowd. Delicious. If you like a DJ you can walk to one of the other hotels. These are on the same site. We had breakfast and dinner. That was a lot of choice and really tasty. We will definitely go back to this hotel.

A super nice hotel, the breakfast was excellent and rich, the rooms were clean and big enough (we got a sea view as a "gift"), there was a shuttle to the center and there were enough loungers by the pool. The water was clean and the beach part was beautiful. Highly recommended!

Excellent hotel and staff, a particular mention to Matteo that did a great job after we arrived so late and got a nice dinner and good parking spot PLUS a glass of wine, fantastic location right on the beach front, you cannot beat this, very clean, employees work very hard, respect for hard working people, we will definitely be back .

Very Good

It’s a well-run, family friendly hotel, with beautiful interior in a quiet part of Zelena Laguna. Food is good, plenty to choose from, there’s a non-dress code for dinner, casual is fine. Our superior garden view room was very nice and clean. We loved to chill under the pine trees and had long walks around the beautiful area. I would recommend it.

We stayed for 11 nights at the Hotel Parentium which sits on a peninsula between Plava Laguna and Zelena Laguna to the south of Poreč. We had two Classic rooms. The rooms were relatively spacious, well equipped and clean. They have a balcony, although the view is of an astro turf covered roof and other rooms with balconies. It didn't bother us as we didn't spend a lot of time in the room. Wi-Fi was very usable throughout the hotel although it is an open network so you might want to consider using a VPN. The hotel itself is lovely. It is really really clean and well maintained. It has a wellbeing centre with a gym, indoor pool and spa facilities. The gym is well equipped and was never too busy. The indoor pool was lovely and warm and also never over full. The two outside pools were nice although a little on the cold side when we were there. Being able to order a drink while in the pool was a nice touch. Sunbeds are around the pool as well as in the grounds and by the sea. Towels can be picked up by the pool. The sunbeds were busy especially by mid afternoon but it was usually possible to find one or two. The hotel also has a sort of beach which is effectively a concrete promenade you can walk on with areas that provide access to the sea. Despite this description, they were actually quite nice and we used this quite a lot. The sea was relatively warm. I would recommend using pool shoes and the steps in and some of the rocks can be a little slippery. There are also areas with trees including hammocks that can be freely used. Try buying a takeaway pizza from Villa Romana and watching the sunset from here. There are a couple of restaurants next to the hotel as well as a small shop which was useful for snacks and drinks. It has a limited supply but is convenient. On the other side of the hotel you can walk towards all the other hotels and restaurants for Zelena Laguna. This is the busier and more touristy side. There are beach volleyball courts here and also some following the footpath towards Poreč . There are a few table tennis tables next to the restaurant by the hotel (not sure if these are paid for or not). We stayed half board (we got a good deal) and I would recommend doing this if you can. The breakfast buffet is good with a lot of variety. The same can be said for the evening buffet. On the whole the quality and variety were very good and they did vary it a bit each day. Some of the food is cooked at the buffet. In the morning there is plenty of juice - if you want coffee or hot water for tea just ask one of the waiters if they don't approach you immediately. In the evening you will need to pay for drinks - these are a little on the pricey side. It is convenient to be able to easily sign things to the room. Most evenings there is also some form of musical entertainment. This ranges from piano music in the reception area to duets or small bands either there or outside. All were of a pretty decent quality and we regularly grabbed a drink an

My family stayed at the Hotel Parentium at Plava Leguna during the first couple of weeks of July. Our first impressions on arrival, what a lovely hotel, spacious reception area with lots of open plan seating where you can go and relax away from the sun in the comfort of air conditioning. Both rooms were very nice and clean, comfortable beds, air conditioning all working fine and a nice balcony with a limited view. We didnt spend too much time in the room so this wasnt an issue for us. The dining became busy as the holiday season began to open up and at times some food dishes ran out and weren't replenished as quickly as one hoped. If you ate later (i.e. not when the resturant opened at 6:30) then the staff were juggling between clearing the tables and serving you drinks. The food is very good, lots to choose from, different meats, plenty of fish dishes and salads/desserts, fruits, you cannot fault the hotel on this. Breakfast is also buffet style and again lots to choose from. The pool area is very clean and tidy, beautiful setting, very relaxing with 2 outdoor pools (one salty and the othe freshwater with swim up bar), you also have access to the beds by the beach area as you're a hotel guest which is equally as good. Lots of shady areas under the trees to escape the sun if you need to. Unfortunately if you want a bed around the pool you'll need to get up early like everyone else does and reserve your chosen bed, its not something i like doing but why should i miss out if everyone else is doing the same. Not much in the way of evening entertainment, some nights there was live singers or a pianist but on others you need to venture out to find this. Only criticism relates to SMOKING, for people who don't smoke and find the smell intolerable, it's not fair we also can't experience outdoor seating during meal times for fear of someone lighting up a cigarette next to you or a few tables away. We felt discriminated as we dont smoke. The same can be said for the outdoor bar area, in the evening most of the seating is occupied by smokers, why should i have to stay inside because of someone smoking. The Hotel should adopt designated smoking areas away from the main parts of the hotel where people can go and have a ciggy. The staff are all excellent and a real credit to the hotel, we will definitely be returning in the near future as we loved the hotel and location so much.

I had some concerns about this hotel, as we always go to 5-star hotels; but everything turned out to be excellent. We booked a suite with a park view which was quite big, modern and practical with a huge bathroom. There was also a walk-in warderobe. From the balcony we could have a nice view over the pine trees and olive trees. The location is ideal with a nice beachfront and a long pathway around the laguna. As for the breakfast and dinner options, they run a mediterrian cuisine with huge selections of fish, meat, grilled vegetables, pasta dishes. The salad bar and the appetizers are a nice touch. Much to my surprise every single hotel person was very helpful, kind and eager to please us. I'm sure we"ll return. I recommend this hotel for families as well, you can walk along the beachfront after dinner for hours, you don't have to taxi to the center. If you want some busy nightlife you can take a tourist train to Porec, it's good fun for kids.

I’ve only given 3 out of 5 for staff and service for one reason only. There aren’t enough staff. The ones they have are lovely but they’re run off their feet. Restaurant especially. Third time at this hotel and it gets worse each year. It’s a beautiful property in a fabulous location, but more staff are needed.

This is our 3rd visit to the Parentium and the place gets better and better, with recent changes to the rooms and dining area adding that little extra quality. The rooms have been upgraded with new decor, floors and bathroom, we stayed in 413 with a lovely quiet garden view. The room was nice and quiet with a good A/C unit to keep it cool, plenty of wardrobe space and a fantastic rain shower which was really powerful. There was absolutely no noise at night so we had great restful nights. They have made the dining room a more informal seating place with nice comfortable chairs instead of formal dining chairs, they have also reduced the amount of choices of food, however, this is better as before you were spoilt for choice and ended with a plate of mixed everything, now it easier to chose and the food is cooked to perfection, regularly replenished and some beautiful dishes. We were disappointed that they charged to have a bottle of water with your meal, beer or wine I can understand but charging for water is a bit mean The public areas are spotless, grounds immaculate , a beautiful walkway around the headland and a stunning setting. A couple of things we did pick up on , there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, which for a hotel of this standard is very strange, you can borrow a kettle from reception , however no tea, coffee or milk in the rooms. We also noticed that at the end of the pool near the steps down from the bar area, there was a really strong smell of sewerage , this was also there on our previous visit 2 years ago so a bit slow to resolve the issue unfortunately . We would definitely return to the Parentium and would recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting the area.

The hotel is overall nice, well-furnished and clean. Best part is probably the pool area. However, the review is affected by a very bad and non-professional thing. When I booked the hotel, I asked many times whether the hotel has gluten free food choices, especially for breakfast, and they replied to me that the hotel was well equipped, with wide choice and a GLUTEN FREE CORNER for breakfast. Well, that was a LIE. The first day there was nothing for breakfast (just gluten free bread and no corner whatsoever). The second day (qfter my complaints at the reception) they offered me some dried fruit and a cup of cereals. The third day basically only dried fruit (cereals were finished). No choice of sweets or desserts for dinner or breakfast for me. I kindly ask you not to lie as such to people, as being celiac is not a choice, but a disease. And you ruined my meals. I complained at the reception on the last day, and they were only able to say "Sorry". A refund would have been appropriate but it did not happen. Seriously, not professional and not recommended for this reason. One of the persons at the reception was nice and tried to help (a lady), while the others were cold and didn't really care.
