Hotels Near Hartley＇s Cassowary Garden in Port Douglas

I want to take the whole family with me next time. The food is good. The hotel staff are friendly. The bed wasn't particularly small.

The hotel is very far away. In Douglas Town, we went to Cairns by boat for an hour. I am a Platinum Member of Marriott. Sheraton gave me a wine and it was said that the room type was upgraded. But they told me I was not a Platinum member, wasn't it funny? The hotel facilities are good, the scenery is very beautiful, the swimming pool is very large, parking is free, and there are golf courses, but the hotel is located in a tropical rain forest, there are a lot of bugs, and there are cockroaches and small flying insects everywhere in the corridor. It will be stinging, the room is still quite large, and the bathroom is also large. If the hotel can pay attention to cleanliness, the business should be better, which is not comparable to the Gold Coast Sheraton. In addition, I want to tell people who live here not to go to a Chinese restaurant called Jadeinn in Douglas. The owner ’s 10,000-percent Hong Kong independence is simply not dead. If you like to spend all day in the hotel, can recommend this

A nice hotel a little way out of town (25 min walk or 5 mins with a transport service), and a little less to 4 mile beach. They had a decent sized pool and the room was clean and a good size. Friendly staff who were happy to look after bags after checkout so I could go out for the day close to the wildlife habitable

Booking our stay at the Coral Beach Lodge was a bit of a last minute thing and I must say that I was a bit dubious about the communal kitchen, but I was pleasantly surprised. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and our room was clean and a good size, which included an outdoor table and 2 chairs outside the sliding door at the back of the room. The pool was lovely! There was also a table tennis table and a pool table which we had a few games on. The communal kitchen was great as everyone was friendly and chatty with each other. I think this may be a back packers place as there were a lot of young travelers there. We did plan a barbecue for that night though, but the gas bottle was empty so we cooked it in the kitchen. They are building a bar there but it won't be ready until April. Overall, a nice place to stay and was only $99 for the night.

We stayed at Peppers for Christmas and New Year holiday. The location is great for walking distance into town and walking to 4 mile beach is an easy walking distance as well. The oil is great and very kids friendly with a nice Sandy shallow edge all the way around. We have a ground floor room with a spa bath and this was used a lot in the evening to relax, you don’t have full privacy so wear your swim suit but that’s no problem. The rooms are nice and comfortable for two people. The breakfast is not buffet style you order off a menu and they have almond milk which is great if you are like me and enjoy a almond mocha or hot chocolate. The only downside I have to this place is they don’t give you complimentary water in your room. Nor is there a water fountain where you can fill up your bottles during the day? Unless I’m missing something but they try to be eco friendly with their room service cutlery and food packaging but no eco friendly options for water. I drink anywhere from 1-3 litres of water a day especially up in a tropical climate. So definitely a few water fountains installed around the place would be amazing. Some places I’ve stayed have both still and sparkling water fountain options. Other than that we had a great stay and the staff were really nice, the small gym is good for a quick cardio and simple weights workout and the layout we had no trouble with. The surrounding environment is wonderful. All the facilities in the room were new and clean. It was nice to be able to check in immediately after showing the reserved copy.

The hotel is in a very central location, on the edge of the city center street, very quiet, but close to the beach, not a 5 minute walk away to enjoy a reclining beach or a beach walk and watch the sunrise. In addition to the master bed, there is also a small room with a single bed, which is suitable for families. There is a microwave oven, a kitchen sink and cute tableware, which can be used for simple cooking. Large-scale cooking must be in the public kitchen. It's a little inconvenient. Although it is not cleaned every day, the cleanliness of the room is not bad. All in all, it's worth recommending.

Unfortunately this visit to Port was a family death & funeral. We made a booking sight unseen as we needed to have a place to stay at very short notice. The staff were very accomodating as we potentially had a late check in which was no problem. We had a king size room which was clean and well presented. Had an outdoor spa and a balcony which was very nice. Had 2 large pools and 2 BBQ areas. Room had both aircon & fan and was very comfortable. It was very convenient a short walking distance to the heart of Port. Would recommend

This was the best place for a family holiday. We were an extended family and the owners treated us so well, helping to accomodate 4 separate families. Throughout our time here, we experienced comfortable, spacious accomodation, friendly staff and a great swimming pool. The location is perfect to access all the great experiences North Queensland has to offer. Mossman Gorge close by. Only 20 minutes to Port Douglas for reef tours or a night out. We have really happy memories of our week here.
