Great hotel in a brilliant location, just behind the main shopping street in Douglas. It's such a clean hotel but note they do not clean rooms unless you request them to. The restaurant lacks in atmosphere and the food is slow to be served, but they have a varied and super tasty menu with reasonable prices. Breakfast was ideal and the buffet/hot food was fully stocked no matter what time we arrived each morning. I must say that it is clear this hotel is short staffed. A particular shout out to staff member Joe who was really friendly, upbeat and helpful, despite holding down reception, serving food, working behind the bar and providing room service - basically the work of 4 people! My biggest issue with the hotel was no parking. They could easily reserve some spaces outside/beside the building for guests, but there's nothing. This means you have to park in a nearby (pricey and awkward) multi-storey or out on the promenade (a 5 minute walk, also pricey and difficult to find a space). Overall, a great hotel with spacious rooms in a comfortable, quiet buidling. It was expensive but this was expected during the TT.
