Portals Nous Hotels with Gym

I've unfortunately had to make this review a 2* one because of the experience we had with the airport transfers (arranged, charged and supported by the hotel itself). I have tried to remedy the issue over the past few weeks but have been dismissed with each back and forth. These drives should be a trivial part of the tour but unfortunately the ones we booked through the hotel - via a company called TransferClass - ruined our arrival, departure and damaged a lot of good work the hotel did over the four days we spent there. The hotel would only offer this transfer company as a partner - they charge €200 each way for a 15 minute journey (market rate is €50 ew max) - on the way to the hotel, they packed the wrong seat for our 3 month old, so we had to stop at the office and refit a new one - when we got to the hotel the boot wouldn't open to get the luggage - on return, the taxi was 30 mins late - the seat was once again wrong and we had to hold our young baby in our arms It is such a shame that either end of the stay at Portals Hills reflects so poorly. The staff were broadly fantastic - especially the cleaners and receptionists - and the whole hotel vibe is sophisticated and boutique but baby friendly which we loved.

We fled here because another nearby hotel was so unpleasant that we decided to cut our stay short. At The Donna Portals, we were received with exceptional courtesy and warmth, and we felt especially comfortable throughout our entire stay. Everyone was particularly friendly and professional. The room was very quiet and spacious. The food was excellent, the spa is beautiful, and everything is very clean. We would return at any time.
