The hotel is in a great location across from a metro station - it is easy to miss as its a door and a window at street level. The staff are lovely and the breakfast is good too. It is beautiful inside and well maintained. Its an old building so the rooms are big and have A/C and heating. Great shower and comfy bed. The gardens and pool are lovely too (didn't use the pool as it was early April)

Really glad we found this little gem! First of all excellent location And really easy to find! Several transport links close by, including buses in front of the hotel and metro entrance in park across the road. We arrived early evening and after a swift check-in and being shown to our room we were greeted by knock at the door It was the receptionist who, after inputting our details into the system had noticed it was my birthday. She came with two glass support and some pastries. Which was a lovely touch, as we had not said or expected anything. The room was spacious modern clean and tidy,air-conditioning, coffee machine mini fridge with water, and a very comfy bed. At breakfast, the next morning, there was a great selection of pastries, bread, ham, and cheeses, as well, yoghurt and fruit. There’s also an option for your choice of eggs and also bacon. We had a great stay, and will definitely be coming back in the future.

A nice charming room with very friendly & helpful staff. Travel by Metro was easy since the station was just across the street. The neighborhood was easily walkable.

Absolutely fantastic B &B. Old style building but fully modernised sympathetically inside. Old features with modern amenities. Staff are amazing. So helpful, nothing too much bother. They managed to find a birthday cake for me to surprise our daughter. Breakfast was continental but a great selection of hams, at least 5-6 cheeses, yoghurts, fresh fruits, nuts, honey, ham, Nutella and at least 5-6 cakes/pastries as well as bread for roasting g or selection of rolls. Iron available on request. The gardens and pool are beautiful and relaxing. Oranges on the tree just starting to ripen on our visit. Good walk to the centre where shoppers have a wide choice. Right by the Marquês metro stop. Altogether a brilliant week spent here.

Perfect location - once the exterior door is closed you could be in the countryside it’s so quiet. Originally apartments with wonderful ornate high ceilings, grand doorways and huge bathrooms what’s not to love. A host of young, delightful staff who always have a smile and very good English. Pretty garden and a very nice pool, it is perfectly positioned with the metro directly opposite and the 500 bus to the beach literally outside the front door.

I don't have enough superlatives to describe this place. The staff were the most helpful, friendly hotel employees I have ever come across and I have travelled extensively. It seems to be run by an endless number of amazing young people. The room was good, spacious and with a really comfortable bed. Even though it faced onto the busy street with bus stops outside, the soundproofing was excellent and although I am an extremely light sleeper, I wasn't troubled at all. There is a nice little garden out the back. The breakfast is great. The location is a little out of the centre (up the hill) and it sent the nicest area outside, next to a busy square, but it's easy to stroll into town 15-20 minutes, or to get a taxi. There are also plenty of excellent pastry shops and a supermarket nearby. But the staff are what make it so special, they were simply wonderful and I can't thank them enough for looking after us so well (including early check in and late check out) and giving us so much really helpful advice about where to eat in town. They are all truly remarkable.

Olivia Marquês Guest house is located very central in Porto with easy access to the Metro. This small cozy hotel oze of class and is located in a former mansion surrounded by a beautiful and peacefull garden. The staff welcomes you with a glass of Port and sends you off again with a lunch bag, (if you have a red eye flight before the kirchen opens), all without extra charge😉
