The hotel is in a very nice location. The building is a historical building. The only thing missing is the construction work in front of it.

Bad experiences. My purpose of this stay was to celebrate our anniversary and would like to give a surprise to my partner. I requested to decorate the room as mentioned in the hotel booking via Ctrip. When we checked in, there is nothing happen and no one told us this request cannot be accommodated. When I contacted the hotel, they said that they didn’t receive this request, I don’t know what’s happened. Anyway, It is what it is and disappointing.

The location is very good, easy to go everywhere.
The municipal square in front of the building is under repair, otherwise the view would be very good.
The parking fee is too expensive, 29 euros per day, and it is not in the hotel. There is valet parking, and the waiter has to wait for a quarter of an hour to pick up the car.

I think the location is perfect, right in front of Sao Bento station, in the center of Porto tourism. There are beautiful streets all around the hotel, front, back, left and right.
The hotel is luxurious and the rooms are spacious and clean. It seems like there is at least one set of amenities. There was a free bottle of water in the room, and there was a charge for the minibar.
Breakfast was buffet style, but there wasn't much variety and it wasn't good for a 5 star hotel, but the apple pie was very delicious.
The staff are polite and firm.
I think you can definitely choose this hotel for its good location, luxury, and comfort of the rooms.
February 2024 Regarding construction in front of the hotel. As you can see in the photo, the road in front of the hotel is open to cars and taxis can also stop there. You have to take a detour to get to Sao Bento station from the front of the hotel. You can get to the Sao Bento metro station by passing through the hotel's courtyard without being affected by the construction. I booked a quiet room, so the room was basically quiet, but when I woke up in the morning, I could hear the sound of the excavator coming through my pillow.

the hotel is very close to the train station and other sightseeing places. There's a big construction site right in front of the hotel which makes it a bit inconvenient to walk around. The hotel offered us a room which faced the courtyard, so we didn't experience any construction noise. The room was very clean and the beds are comfortable. overall it is positive experience with the hotel
