Such a lovely stay at Casa do Cativo. Margarida is a wonderful host and is a great source for Porto information! Our balcony had fantastic views of the city as did the beautiful common room. Casa’s location is convenient to restaurants and sites. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Don't be deceived by the outside, it may seem dodgy. But the hotel is beautiful. Huge rooms, clean and tidy. Big bed and bathrooms. Staff are very accommodating. I loved coming back to the spacious room after a day of sightseeing. There is even space to lounge in the room. Breakfast was included, and I especially enjoyed the fresh orange juice. Highly recommend.

We stayed at Casa do Cativo for 3 nights and had the most loveliest time. The room was spacious, with a very comfy bed. We particularly loved the breakfast and most of all, Margarida and the team who work really hard to make sure you have the best stay. Casa Cativo is in the perfect location for exploring Porto and also far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city. If you're looking for a bit of home from home comfort in a great part of the city, then this is it. Thoroughly enjoyed it all! Thank you!

This is an amazing what I would call an apart hotel in central Porto. We stayed with another couple in a great apartment which had a shared lounge and kitchen. Breakfast every morning was amazing - a platter of cheeses , fruit , pastries and more on offer for each table. We didn’t use the pool but our friends did every day for the 3 nights we stayed . Access arrangements were easy and overall it was a great location only 5 mins from Sao Bento station and the Cathedral. Would I recommend - YES

I agree with fellow reviewers. This place is amazing. The room was spacious to a degree. I hadn't anticipated. There were beautiful views from front and back. Everything was finished at a level that was above and beyond. The neighborhood was very close to the major sites. The owner was particularly helpful. It was great and if I ever go back to Porto there's nowhere else that I would look. The breakfast was a pleasure. The only minor quibble is that when you get to the address, it doesn't look like a hotel or guest house, but the name of the casa is clearly on the buzzer.

Excelente experiencia para dormir en Porto. Ubicación 10. Tiago un 10 como anfitrión. La estancia está cuidada al detalle. Habitación con vistas a todo Oporto. Desayuno 10. Es la primera vez que le pongo un 10 a todo, pero se lo merece. Acogedor y cuidadosamente. Cerca de todo. Según llegas la calle puede despistar, pero entras y es un lujo.

Samen met twee vriendinnen (26, 25 & 25 jaar) verbleef ik een week in dit drie-kamerappartement hartje Porto. Wat hebben we het hier ongelofelijk fijn gehad! Het huis ziet er prachtig uit. Mooi ingericht met houten vloeren, hoge plafonds en trendy meubels. Vanuit één van de twee marmeren douches heb je zelfs uitzicht op de stad. Er zijn twee mooie gemeenschappelijke zitkamers, twee gemeenschappelijke dakterrassen en ook nog een prachtige groene tuin met zwembad. Als je dus een kamer boekt in plaats van het appartement, heb je nog steeds voldoende ruimte buiten je slaapkamer om te zitten. Manager Tiago is duidelijk oprecht begaan met de gasten en helpt je met liefde met alles tijdens je verblijf (een tour boeken, ontbijt klaarzetten op de kamers bij een vroege vlucht). Hij gaf ons waardevolle tips. Elke dag werd het appartement schoongemaakt door lieve dames. Dan krijg je nieuwe handdoeken en flessen bronwater. Kortom: echt een aanrader voor wie hartje Porto een relaxed verblijf zoekt met veel ruimte.

Super ! En plein centre ville mais très calme. Un petit bijou. Petit appartement adorable. Super équipement, super déco, super copieux petit déjeuner, bonne literie. Seul petit défaut piscine sans accès escalier ou échelle mais agréable pour profiter du soleil.

We stayed for 3 nights in the apartment of Casa do Cativo. It was absolutely amazing! The owners have so much taste in decoration. The staff is really friendly and the breakfast was wonderful. I can't say one bad thing about this place. We will definately stay here again when we visit Porto a next time and we will recommend the casa to all our friends and family.
