The hotel has a very historical atmosphere. Instead of using a room card, you use a big key to open the door. The libraries on each floor are great!

The location is convenient, there are a lot of restaurants around, and the destination is close to the popular tourist area, so I chose this one. The decoration is exquisite, but the only thing you need to see is the difference between the main building and the apartment. The apartment will take you to another address on the opposite road, which is not online. You must pay attention to the place where it is sold.

The hotel is amazing, well decorated, great finishes and a fantastic staff. The staff is very Professional, very friendly, very helpful and they go out of their way to be accommodating. The location is perfect for everything, even parking is close and convenient. We loved our time at this property and will look forward to returning. The restaurant is also amazing and very accommodating, George is an incredible person and we really enjoyed our time with him each morning. Thank you for a great stay

Fantastic boutique hotel. Rooms with tall ceilings, modern furnishings, very comfortable beds, and I had a bath in my main area. Location is great just up the hill from the river and 2 minute walk to Sao Bento station. I didn't eat at the restaurant but others seemed to be enjoying it. The staff was nice as well.

Exceptional is the motto of this hotel and it lives up to that in every way! From the moment you walk in you know you are in an extraordinary hotel - a luxe experience from start to finish with personal touches that made us feel truly special. We loved our beautifully decorated room with its huge bed and lovely furnishings. The gorgeous library under the skylight dome is a lovely space to sit and read or contemplate life with a cup of tea (or something stronger should you prefer!). Wonderful breakfast selection and a great location which is an easy stroll to the quay or Sao Bento station. Loved every minute of staying there for our 3 nights in Porto.

Such a nice hotel with lovely decor, very helpful service, and an incredible restaurant. I visited one of the the other Torel hotels for a meal which was more expensive and had a higher star rating, but this felt honestly nicer and more interesting. Also in an excellent location - I genuinely can’t fault it. I got an incredible deal through a third-party site, so admittedly paid less than the advertised rate, however having stayed here would 100% pay full price when I come back to Porto.

Absolutely perfect. Impeccably designed, the Torel 1884 pays attention to every detail. The softest linens and we were extremely comfortable! We enjoyed the dining room at breakfast -- also fabulous. The staff is wonderful - this hotel defines "fine hospitality" every step of the way. And, it's in a great location!

We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Porto. Pretty much everything about it was great! the location, the really nice accommodations, and the very friendly and helpful staff, especially Augusta and the restaurant staff. After a long day out doing tourist stuff we always came back to a warm smile and a how can we make you more comfortable approach. An extra bonus was a free (approximately 2.5 hr) City walking tour on Saturday mornings. Our guide, Francisco, was very knowledgeable and shared some interesting facts about Porto not explained on other tours. Overall, it was an amazing stay and we really thank the staff at Torel 1884.
