The pros and cons of this hotel are particularly outstanding. The advantage is that the service is very good. I arrived at the hotel at 10 a.m. I wanted to put my luggage away and go out for fun, but I didn't expect that I could check in at that time. The disadvantage is that the castle-renovated hotel is a bit cold. It's more than ten degrees outside, so it's comfortable to turn on the air conditioner in the room.

The room is very large, with a living area below on the first floor and a sleeping bed and bathroom on the second floor. However, there are no windows on the second floor. The service is still very enthusiastic. Guided us to book breakfast for 20 euros/person for the next day, saying it was very, very gond breakfast. Breakfast turned out to be very simple.

The hotel's location is relatively close to the city center...the person in charge of the front desk can speak a few words in Chinese...and is quite friendly.

The location is very, very good. The main church is diagonally opposite. It takes four to five minutes to walk from Lushi I Bridge. The most beautiful McDonald's, coffee shop, and train station are all about ten minutes away.

We chose to stay at the Condes de Azevedo Palace Apartments, a short (mostly uphill) walk from São Bento train station - not far from the cathedral. It really wasn't any different than a hotel in terms of services - there were staff on-site 24/7. The apartment option really worked for us, as there was a washing machine in our apartment (laundry detergent also provided) as well as a drying rack. The apartment was actually bigger then expected (really, bigger than we needed!) and we were quite comfortable. A breakfast buffet was also included, with simple but adequate offerings - breads and pastries, meats and cheeses, fruits, yogurts and granola, and so on, as well as made-to-order eggs if one so desired. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and made several good recommendations to us regarding restaurants in the local area. The price of our stay was comparable to a mid-range hotel. We found we were within walking distance to just about everything we wanted to see while in Porto. I would recommend a stay here.

What a wonderful introduction to our time in Portugal! The staff was excellent: knowledgeable, courteous, helpful and friendly. Our apartment was beautiful and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was delicious with fresh ingredients and many selections.

It was such a treat to stay for 2 nights in a lovely 2-storey apartment in this 17th-18th century neoclassical mansion! Everything was well-designed, and I had everything I needed. The coffee maker and washing machine were bonuses. Nice view from the mini balconies across the garden to the city, including of the famous Clérigos clock tower. Breakfast was very good, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Ideal location close to many sights, the river and transport, as well as shops and eateries, but quiet at night. Definitely a favourite among the 15 places I stayed during my trip!

Staff at the property were wonderful! Walkable to most attractions except it’s very hilly, which is the uniqueness about Porto. The ladies at the breakfast were lovely, kind and welcoming.
