Portsmouth Hotels with Gym

We stayed one night as we were going to a concert at the Guildhall which is just a few minutes away. It is also next to the station, although there was no noise. We booked a premium plus room and were allocated one on the 5th floor. The whole hotel was clean and well kept, the room was well appointed. Kelly on reception was efficient and friendly and I was surprised to see her the next morning working the restaurant as well as reception. The breakfast was average (probably could have had a better one in the nearby Wetherspoon for a lot less) Only two other minor things, the a/c was a bit noisy and erratic! The other is common to all premiere inns and that is poor quality toilet paper and no toilet brush!

I read a few negative reviews before arriving here and I was a bit worried about how my stay would go. I have to say all of theses reviews were proved wrong. We had a really good stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and the reception staff especially were constantly working on reception, in the bar and helping clear after meals and breakfast. Our room was very clean and convenient. The only issue is the separate charge for parking. Having to pay on a machine at a hotel is unusual and unnecessary.

Nice hotel，good location，many restaurants nearby，and close to Portsmouth & Southsea station. Very nice staff，especially Hasan！Very enthusiastic and friendly！When we go back to the hotel，he always say hello to us. We feel so happy and warm. In other words，in Chinese we call it “宾至如归”. The meaning of “宾至如归” is guests feel at home. Thank you so much!

Had a premier plus room which was very clean and comfortable. The only fault was only one bath towel for two people which took two asks to remedy. Hotel has a great location for the historic dockyard and Gunwharf quays. Check in was a bit slow. Parking cost £20 for two days and is just a few minutes from the hotel. Breakfast was excellent, good quality, fresh and all parts of the buffet were replenished timely. Meal deal on one night. It was good but a jacket potato was cold in the middle- replaced fairly quickly and they had run out of some menu items (cheese and biscuits and one of the desserts). Service was really good and whilst we’re not big steak eaters we were pleasantly surprised, the steaks were tasty. Two for one cocktails were popular all round. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The hotel was clean and inviting. Plenty of parking space on site. The room had basic toiletries, a hairdryer, sufficient space to hang a few clothes and additional pillows. Air conditioning was easy to operate and beds were comfortable. Plenty of choices for breakfast and food replaced regularly, options were available for some foods to be prepared upon request e.g. scrambled eggs etc. Less staff working late at night, covering both the bar while serving food, so some delays being served then. All staff were friendly and helpful. In a good location with some shops in walking distance.

Amazing position, great location. Maria, on reception was a 'star' -what a welcome. Friendly and professional. Treat two pots of ice cream, added bonus. A room off the dining area, first on the right, no miles of walking, excellent. Clean and comfortable, as the bathroom, lovely and clean. Breakfast the usual, seriously manic. Extremely busy, buffet, just warm food, lots of choice, wonderful hash browns. No prisoners taken, still enjoyable. Tables cleaned in between guests, well done. Only down side 'He' has now become a registered disabled, no parking available in the small parking area located on site which was annoying. We parked in the underground Gunwharf car park, the charge was reimbursed which was fine, however, it was an issue for him getting to and from the hotel. Did not spoil our stay, loved it, hopefully will stay again.

The breakfast is good, the location is super good, the service is good, and the price is affordable! Hee hee, it is suitable for taking children. There is no parking lot, but there are many parking lots nearby, and the location is super good.
