The front desk staff were very friendly and I was able to spend three pleasant days there. The breakfast was also delicious. The room was very clean and nice, but it was too stylish overall, so there was nothing to hold on to in the slippery bath, and there was no place to hang or put things in the room, which made it hard to use.

Nach einer längeren Überlegungszeit im Februar 2024 haben wir für den Aufenthalt anlässlich meines Geburtstags im April 2024 das Moods Hotel Prag gebucht. VOR der endgültigen Buchung fragte ich den Mitarbeiter per Mail…ob das mit der Reservierung eines Deluxe Zimmer mit Blick auf die Moldau im 5.Stock klappt. Das wurde mir per Mail bestätigt. Ich wollte in den obersten Stock…damit mir niemand auf dem „Kopf herumtrampelt“ Am Anreisetag sind wir vor 15 Uhr im Hotel angekommen. Uns wurde dort mitgeteilt das unser Zimmer noch nicht fertig ist; erst nach 15 Uhr. Die Formalitäten wurden gleich erledigt und wir mussten sofort Bezahlen. Anschließend sind wir erst nochmal los. Wir kamen dann kurz nach 15 Uhr um unseren Zimmerschlüssel abzuholen. Erst dann sagte man uns, dass wir ein Zimmer im 4. Stock bekämen und nicht wie gebucht im 5.! Der Mitarbeiter am Check in war etwas hilflos….und versuchte es mit Ausreden….verwies dann auf den Manager…der dann kurzerhand kam…..wieder gab es bla bla….und wenig hilfreiches….dann bat er um einen Moment Geduld….verlies uns und kehrte dann zurück mit der Aussage das es nun doch ein Zimmer im 5.Stock gibt. Er entschuldigte sich und fragte ..ob er noch etwas für uns tun kann…solange bis das neue Zimmer fertig ist…..Ich merkte dann an..das ein Gläschen Sekt eine nette Geste wäre (wie gesagt…war mein Geburtstag…da hätte ich mich eh drüber gefreut…..) Nun ja….dann gab es 2 Pikkolo warmen Sekt Als wir den Schlüssel erhielten sind wir dann aufs Zimmer. Bei Buchung wurde mir erklärt das es auf der 5.Etage nur 2 Zimmer gibt. Als wir in „unserer“ 5. Etage ankamen…gab es da 6 Zimmer. Komisch,oder? Dann betraten wir unser Zuhause auf Zeit. Anstatt Blick auf die Moldau…gab es den Blick in den Hinterhof. Das Zimmer selbst….hmm was soll ich sagen…vielleicht gibt es ja 2 Hotel Moods in der Klimentska Straße in Prag…..aber irgendwie passt das was wir in den Bewertungen gelesen haben so gar nicht der Realität. Der blenderische Ersteindruck in der Lobby ist schnell dahin, wenn man sich etwas genauer umschaut.Das fängt schon direkt mit der Wandverkleidung hinter dem MA am Checkin an. Im Zimmer selbst gibt es glaube ich kein Bauteil was nicht verdreckt,angemackt oder beschädigt ist. Bett an der Fußteil verdreckt ,angemackte Möbel und Einrichtung. Tiefe Kratzer und Riefen im Fußboden ,Spinnweben an der Lampe über dem Bett…und und und. Und dann geht’s ins Bad, Korrosion/Gammel am Wasserhahn,defekter Toillettensitz,Schimmel und Schmodder auf den Fliesen und Kanten,Rost an der Duschkabine. Duschhandtuch fleckig und ausgefranst. Preis & Leistung und die hier geschönten Bewertungen passen so gar nicht zusammen. Mein erneuter Versuch der Reklamation wegen den Mängeln und der nicht eingehaltenen Reservierung des Zimmer (5 Stock….Blick auf die Moldau) wurden mit leeren Worthülsen und Ausreden abgefertigt. Fazit: Geld kassiert…und schlechte Leistung abgeliefert!Und den Geburtstag verdorben! Einen kleinen Lichtblick gibt es im Hotel denno

Nice hotel in a good location. Breakfast was good and rich. Unfortunately, the room was a bit old, for example the cupboards were a bit worn and the fittings in the bathroom were loose. The breakfast room, which is a winter garden in the inner courtyard, is great. This also results in a real flaw for the rooms on the ground floor. Their windows are directly opposite the glass wall of the winter garden, so you have to keep the curtains closed to avoid visually appearing in the dining room. Hotel in a strategic area. A 5-minute walk takes you to the city center with the famous clock tower. Clean, welcoming, functional. The guys at the reception are available and ready to accommodate any request. The breakfast is rich and varied, I absolutely recommend it.

Wonderful hotel in great location near Republik square so super handy for walkiny/getting bus or tram routes, but tucked away so nice and quiet for sleeping. Reception staff were very friendly and gave a very warm welcome. Good breakfast included. Only complaints: walls a little thin, could hear tvs going at night, also beds were very comfy but the worst pillows we've ever seen- no support! Would definitely still stay again :)
