Hotel PurPur

Unpretentious hotel, located in a quiet street, with good value for money. Pleasant 30m² room and large bathroom. Fridge and kitchen area allow you to prepare small meals if necessary. Free WiFi in the room. Deposit of 40€ (or 1000Czk), but an email is notified before your arrival. Breakfast offered between 8 and 10 a.m., simple but good. The hotel is well located, quite close to the center, but without being in the tourist area, where every restaurant is a scam. Very good restaurants are nearby. The trams don't pass far. We stayed there for 5 nights from April 22 to 27, room 14, and we do not regret our choice. Very good stay in Prague.

To say it's terrible is an understatement... First of all, the lady at the reception doesn't know how to say 4 words in English or in any other language besides Czech so it's impossible to have communication except through Google translator. Furthermore they require a deposit of €40 (1000czk) which they then keep at check-out by inventing any excuse, for example they told me that I smoked inside even though I don't smoke anything other than electronic cigarettes so they didn't even have any "proof" that I had smoked inside but since the lady doesn't understand English (or maybe she pretends not to understand it) we can't even communicate to try to get the deposit money back, when I tried to tell her that I don't even smoke she started to shout at me in a threatening manner that I smoked in the room. However the rooms are decent but they clean them every 3/4 days. The only positive aspect I found was the location and the young guy at the reception who was very kind at check-in, upon my arrival he sent us a taxi at a lower price than those requested by the UBERs stationed at the airport and was looking for to speak a few words in Italian to make yourself better understood. In short, however, I don't recommend it because you can find better ones at the same price.

Clean and welcoming hotel just minutes from the center. Very kind staff. On the day of departure, Viktor did his u**ost to ensure that the shuttle to the airport arrived on time after other customers had taken ours🙄. Without his help we would have had to take (and pay again for) two taxis, but he managed to get our shuttle back in record time! Furthermore, upon arrival we had the pleasant surprise of having breakfast included in the price! Thank you!
