也許是沒住過國外的酒店，有點少見多怪了。
客房沒有一次性用品，如牙刷、梳子、小牙膏、拖鞋，衹配有一小塊肥皂，和沐浴液。有地巾，浴巾，毛巾，還有電吹風。房型整體面積還可以，但是無效的空間不少。有搖椅和兩個沙發，沒有陽台，落地窗户面積很大但是窗外面是樓，沒有景色。房間內還配有保險箱和minibar。提醒小夥伴們，電源插座是歐標的，所以要提前準備好轉換頭，或者找酒店提供。建議自備，國內品牌，公牛的，方便好用。產品如下圖。如，度假或者待的時間比較長，建議在備一個插線板，方便自己使用。前台小哥人很好，可以用英語和你做簡單的交流，幫我解決了不少問題。大家一定要有思想準備，當地人都是説葡語，衹有一部分服務行業的人員會説英語。

Bien localizado y zona animada. Personal amable. El precio algo alto para lo que ofrecen. Desayuno normal. La luz de hanitacion y baño son muy pobres. El colchon necesita cambiarse y el AC no enfria mucho. Casi lo mejor es la zona donde está para ver el centro de Praia.

Wir bekamen ein sehr kleines Zimmer im Erdgeschoss mit Fenster zu einem Lichtschacht. Das Fenster ließ sich nicht richtig schließen, weil ein Stromkabel durchgeführt war. Da Zimmer roch sehr stark nach Zigaretten-Rauch. Nach unserer Beschwerde, bekammen wir ein etwas größeres Zimmer in der zweiten Etage, Fenster auch nur zum Lichtschacht. Wir hatten zwar für zwei Nächte gebucht, sind dann aber nach einer Nacht in ein anderes Hotel umgezogen. Das ganze Hotel braucht eine Grundrenovierung.

L’hôtel Santa Maria est d’abord très bien placé, en plein cœur du Plateau, le quartier le plus vivant de Praia. Ensuite, l’accueil est remarquable, le personnel, souvent francophone toujours anglophone, est aux petits soins; la moindre demande est satisfaite rapidement (selon les critères cap-verdiens). La chambre, comme l’ensemble de l’établissement, est d’une propreté impeccable. La literie est très confortable. Le copieux petit-déjeuner, servi à l’intérieur ou en terrasse sur la rue est un excellent moment. C’est franchement une très bonne adresse (précision : je n’ai aucune participation dans l’affaire…)

Friendly staff, great breakfast, very good food in their restaurant with at times really slow and bad service. Hot water in the bathroom can be dangerously hot. Great location. We have stayed here before, many times, and will stay here again.

Stayed one night (booked by travel agency) and my experience wasn't good. The hotel is well located within walking distance of restaurants, shops and attractions. It can also be quite noisy as loud music is played outside. Small room, with modern decor. Upon arrival, I noticed that the sink was draining super slowly (see photo) and the wifi wasn't working (error message "Couldn't get IP address" with both my mobile phone and my laptop). Even though it was obvious that it was a network issue, one of the hotel employees insisted in messing around with my phone for 10-15 min - to no avail, of course. After several hours, the wifi started working, but with multiple hiccups. The same employee came to check the sink and declared that "it was fine". In the shower the water temperature was constantly fluctuating from scorching hot to cold in a matter of seconds, without touching the mixer. I reported this problem and it was "fixed" the next morning, when there was no hot water at all. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Well lit desk area. Breakfast with decent selection. The staff was generally unhelpful and unpleasant.

ficamos retidos por causa do mau tempo, a companhia aerea nos colocou neste hotel, foi-nos dito pelos funcionarios que tinhamos um voucher de 1400$ ecv para almoço e 1400$ ecv para o jantar, dentro desse valor podiamos escolher sem problema, o excedente seria pago a parte, o primeiro dia correu bem o segundo dia mudaram as regras do jogo sendo que colocaram buffet apenas com dois pratos a escolha, obviamente o mais barato, o cafe e sobremesa tinha que ser pago a parte, sem direito a uma garrafa de agua engarrafada. Chuveiro so agua quente ou so agua fria, lavatorio entupido.

location is perfect. we booked it for couple of days as a layover to the island of fogo. Some of their rooms are super small but i've seen smaller. Their breakfast is just ok. they can improve there. I WAS DISSPOINTED, HOWEVER, . I BOOKED AND PAID FOR A 1 NIGHT STAY UPON RETURNING FROM FOGO, AND WE ARRIVED TO CHECK IN, FRONT DESK HAD THE AUDACITY TO TELL US THAT THEY MOVED our stay TO THEIR SISTER HOTEL to MAKE WAY FOR A GROUP OF EUROPEANS (HAVE TO EMPHASIZE IT BECAUSE CAPEVERDEANS HAVE AN INFERIOR COMPLEX TOWARDS EUROPEANS). oF COURSE I WASN'T GOING TO LET THAT SLIDE. WE STAYED WHERE WE PAID FOR.
