We needed a place to stay on a trip from MD to SC, and at 10:00pm in early March 2023, this looked like the best opportunity. 1) the staff were absolutely amazing; from check-in to kitchen staff to check-out, each person whom we interacted with was polite and helpful. 2) this property in under a major renovation. The entire ground floor was unavailable, and the 3rd floor had select rooms being torn apart. At check-in we were warned of the limited accessibility and the potential for noise midday. Nothing actually impacted our stay. 3) the current rooms are obviously worn and in need of update. To complain about scuffed furniture and bathroom aesthetics would be belabouring the point. The beds were comfortable and we were able to get a good nights sleep. So why 4 stars instead of 3? The staff are one reason, and the knowledge that a major renovation is underway provides the other.

We stayed here two nights on two separate occasions. We chose this hotel based on it’s location to Ft. Lee. The first night we stayed was better then the second. The room was large and relatively clean, but the heating unit was so loud. We could hear the heating unit all the way down the corridor! We turned it off so we could sleep, an hour later it just turned itself back on. It kept turning on even though we turned it into the off position, we ended up just unplugging it. If not for noise this stay would have been ok. The next stay was two weeks later and it was horrible. We had a room with 2 queen beds and all we had was one thread bare towel that smelled of puke. My husband went to the front desk to ask for more towels and the lady told him they didn’t have anymore. Come on, really!! A hotel with no towels, that’s a new one. We asked again in the morning and she still said they had no towels, after about an hour of constant pestering she went to the back and brought out some towels. So if they tell you they don’t have towels it’s a lie. The room wasn’t very clean and the breakfast was bad. Also beware of the weird people lurking in the parking lot.

I love this place. Everytime i stay there, its comfortable and relaxing. The lovely ladies that run the breakfast are so polite and make you feel welcomed. The front desk staff were awesome. Check in was easy and such friendly faces to see. Housekeeping were very through. Nice clean room. Can wait to stay there again. Wonderful place to stay.

Staff was kind and helpful as I was traveling with two small children. The breakfast still had a variety of options for being a to-go box. The room we were in, king suite, was clean, smelled nice, had extra blankets and pillows for pullout sofa. The only issue was the keurig had a short in the cord so I had to hold it a certain to get to work. Not a big deal. Wifi was sufficient to stream shows and get work done.
