The second half of January in Pristina is the complete off-season, with temperatures dropping to around -10°C and remaining snow frozen in places around the city.
However, although this hotel is small and mid-range, it excels in many areas such as location, facilities and service.
There was ample heating which was appreciated for this time of year, and we were able to stay comfortably.
Although there are few tourist attractions, this is a town worth visiting to get a glimpse of the complicated history of the city. Next time, I would like to explore regional cities and mountainous areas as well.

Biggest plus here, they are pet friendly. Staff was great in being helpful and accommodating our needs; in particular, they arranged transportation to the airport at 3 a.m., when no taxis were running. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks again to the staff!

I’ve booked a non-smoking room, they didn’t have any. Condition of rooms are poor. No one cleaning floors, bed quality is horrible, bedsheets, towels and matrices out of use. Not worth any penny I spent. 1* hotel could be in better condition, very disappointed. Breakfast is 1 cup of coffee, omelette and bread with different jams.

Hotel Real is a very pleasnt small hotel (almost guest house) in a good area in central Pristina. Rooms have recently been refurbished to quite a high standard and have all the facilities required for the modern traveller - good quality shower / bathroom, TV, fridge, WiFi etc. Note - the hotel does not have an elevator and most of the bedrooms are upstairs, so not ideal for anybody with heavy luggage or mobility issues. Staff very pleasant and helpful (family run?) and breakfast included (though fairly simple fare and little choice). The neighbourhood has a good abundance of coffee shops and fast food restaurants but - here's a warning - there isn't a bar or pub to be found. Maybe because it's a Muslim city, but the only beer or wine available is from takeaways. Not much fun in that. Irish pub entrepreneurs - massive opening here!

Positive - convenient location, helpful and friendly staff, clean, decent size room, big bathroom, comfortable bed, tasty breakfast (bit of a small side, but with the heatwave I had in Pristina more wasn't really needed).
Negatives - hotel could use some refreshment, cables hanging, holes covered with tape etc. Poor water pressure in the shower, jacuzzi wasn't working, no tea or coffee making equipment in the room.
PS: No lift in the hotel so not best suitable for those with mobility issues.

I really enjoy the hotel. They offer shuttle service to and from the airport. Just make sure to notify them in advance. Hotel gave great information about the area. I would stay again.

Came from Skopje by bus. 2 nights at Hotel Real. Good location. Very worn hotel, the carpet in the room was chipped and dirty. Do not refill toilet paper. We found other rooms. Outside the reception there were two broken camping chairs. Don't trust the balcony. Slippers and toiletries were probably left by previous guests. Breakfast was a plate of cold cuts, okay enough, but dry bread.
So to the positive, we absolutely recommend a visit to Pristina if you are in Skopje. Kosovo is a beautiful country.
