Hotel Danieli la Castellana Lago di Garda

It’s was our first time @ Lake Garda and we didn’t know what to expect , we’re well in our 70’s and have travelled the world , the Hotel Danieli was an excellent choice as a base to explore the Northern Area of Lake Garda . A lovely lady called Antonella welcomed us , our room was not the biggest but was very clean with a very comfortable bed , great shower room . Breakfast was hosted by Orazia , another lovely lady with lots of energy and happy to advise on buses and ferries etc . Plenty of choice of cereal ,eggs , breads , cakes , fruit , juice and a fabulous coffee machine . The hotel is situated on the main thoroughfare and overlooking the small harbour . Would we return to the Hotel Danieli ? In a heartbeat 😁

Great friendly family run hotel with fabulous food and service. All the staff were very helpful. In a beautiful village location with many cafes and restaurants . A great base for travelling around the lake. Both bus and ferry spots in easy walking distance

Very clean modern rooms, complete with fridge. Aircon is on from 5pm to 9am for environmental reasons. Not a problem as you’re out all day. Breakfast has a good variety including hot and cold foods. We stayed half board and dinner was served at 7pm with a choice of starter (homemade pasta or soup) and a choice of main (meat or vegetarian). Food is homely Italian cooking and all homemade including the breads. There is also an al a carte restaurant (usually served in lovely courtyard between hotel reception and bar) with a more extensive menu again all homemade and freshly prepared. The bar is excellent with great service (Lauda was exceptional) and a wide variety of gins. Cocktail list was pretty good too. All staff were very pleasant and very helpful. Location is excellent. Local bus stops very close (mostly late though) and the ferry just across the road so you can visit the rest of beautiful Lake Garda. We will definitely be back to this hotel.

Had the most enjoyable stay here. Hotel Danieli was home from home with spacious well equipped modern rooms. It was renovated a few years ago so has excellent up to date accommodation. Antoinella was the most down to earth,warm,funny and helpful host. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and with Luciano’s across the courtyard it was ideal. Castelletto is a beautiful village on the east coast of the lake with a regular bus service and the ferry stops just across from the hotel. Highly recommended

We stayed at Hotel Danieli La Castellano as a couple the last week of May 2023. This was on a B&B basis. From the start we knew we had chosen well. The hotel is mid-way up the east coast of Lake Garda. Having not visited Lake Garda before, we were keen to see various towns. So this hotel was perfectly located. The ferry is right at the doorstep which we used to traverse the Lake. While bus 484 and 483 allowed us to travel north-south of the lake. This route would have allowed trips to Verona but we did not do that. We travelled for day trips to Riva, Limone, Salu, Sirmonie, Garda amongst others, always by public transport. The room was modern on the first floor with a balcony. The view was over the small harbour. We enjoyed people watching (and car watching) especially on market day - Tuesday. We appreciated the air conditioning. The windows opened and were glazed so that the noise of the busy road was not heard in the room. There was a day bed with great views. Our bed was very large and comfy. We appreciated the Tea/Coffee making facilities and the balcony. The bathroom was well equipped with a power shower. We ate three times at the hotel. And enjoyed our final apres-exploring drink of the day a few times. The meals and drinks are served in the little brightly coloured Italian Style courtyard. Each time the meals were tasty, fresh ingredients and beautifully served. Leaving the best to last - the staff. So friendly and willing to help in any way to make our precious vacation even more enjoyable. Such interesting people to talk too. Such hard working people full of local knowledge.
