Very expensive glorified youth hostel - not a hotel. Did not receive room I booked, on line photos are very misleading/deceptive, no elevator, no AC in common areas, front desk staff with limited hours, poor WIFI, unappealing breakfast, awful laundry service (ruined a shirt) and a ridiculous 9AM checkout time - a first for me in almost 40 years of travel. Just a tremendous disappointment for the price - spoiled the first couple days of a once in a life time Galapagos adventure - such a shame…

Hotel Cucuve is located in a central area of Puerto Ayora and it is an easy walk to the marina/port area, water taxis, numerous tour operators, attractions, and restaurants. We stayed 4 nights in March 2024 and have nothing negative to say. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The included breakfast provides a good start to the day. The rooms and common areas were clean and refreshed daily. Although the common areas and lobby are open air, the rooms have A/C that will keep you cool.

This is a lovely property in a great location. It is spotlessly clean, the staff are welcoming and friendly. The rooms are a great size, lovely bathroom. There are even bathrobes and slippers, and an in room safe.

We stayed 4 nights in Cucuve Suites. Positives: 1. Air conditioning! It was very hot and humid and the air conditioning in our room ensured that we had a good quality sleep. 2. Breakfast. Basic European style but very good. The Bircher muesli was excellent. For those looking for a more American style breakfast (bacon etc) this might not suffice. 3. Rooms are clean and quite spacious. Negatives: 1. It lacks the friendly atmosphere of many of the other hotels we stayed at in Ecuador. The staff are polite and efficient but I did miss talking to the local dueño which we did in many other hotels in Ecuador. 2. No swimming pool. They have a beach club near the water but if you want to swim it is very open-water there and does not make up for the lack of a swimming pool. Overall this was not a bad base in Puerto Ayora for what we paid (about 300 AUD per night).

The hotel is clean and the property looks good. I was disappointed by a picture they featured that was NOT of there property but has been taken down now. Their breakfast was good with snacks available anytime.

Another great stay. Comfortable beds, extra clean rooms , and a good breakfast. Staff makes sure you are taken care of. Has a filtered water faucet and snacks. Location is very convenient

Cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Service was fantastic. Comfortable bed and great breakfast. The staff at this hotel care for their guests and it shows. Location was close to everything. They even helped us line up a taxi for a highland tour. Only downside is check out is 9:00 am. However you can tell the work they put in to make the hotel shine.
