They provided good information for travelling from airport to Hotel. Staff was friendly and managed to speak English. Breakfast was good. Water bottle , beach towel and complementary bags provided ."

However, we doubt whether this is comparable to a four-star hotel in other countries, especially considering the price. There is no elevator (the restaurant is on the 4th floor), the pool is small, and there is no spa. All in all, a pleasant hotel, but with a different interpretation of four stars than you might expect."

"Torre Mar is such a great find in the Galapagos. John is super helpful in helping plan excursions and so knowledgable as a former naturalist guide. The apartments at Torre Mar are modern and well equipped. I traveled with a group and we used the social terrace to gather every evening while in Galapagos. If I could give six stars to Torre Mar, I definitely would -- fantastic people & a great location with excellent accommodations."

Ocean Dreams Galapagos
"We stayed here for 4 nights while exploring Santa Cruz. The small guest house is easy walking distance to the main street along the beach where all the restaurants, shops etc. are. It's on a side street so not too busy with traffic and people. They have small standard rooms on the very top and large rooms on the other floors. We switched to a large room which was more than double the size of the standard room and had a sofa, dining table with chairs and small kitchen (microwave, sink, plates, glasses). It's nice to be able to spread out after coming back from a day at the beach. On every floor in the corridor there is a water dispenser where you can get as much drinking water as you like (no plastic bottles needed). It also gives hot water which was suitable for our morning tea. The WiFi worked well most of the times but sometimes disappeared for an hour or so (I doubt this is the hotel's fault). AC and hot water worked very well. Breakfast was served on the ground floor, all freshly made as we sat down at the table. What I really liked at this hotel was the super friendly owner. She does not speak English and I don't speak Spanish but we managed to communicate. She always had a smile on her face and tried to help in every possible way. Ordering taxis , asking how our day was etc. It felt like coming home. If I ever come back to the Galapagos I for sure will stay here again!"

In most places, there’s usually one staff member who falls short—but not here. The whole team ran so smoothly, we felt genuinely taken care of in every moment. Another guest was feeling ill and we literally saw the staff get them meds and even translated the instructions and offered them soup from a batch place. If you’re heading to the Galápagos and want comfort without compromise, this is the place."

"We stayed 10 nights at this hotel! The communication was great since the booking was made. I got an email asking for the approximate time of the arrival, to make sure someone was there. They are there from 6am till 7 pm from my understanding. There is a gate that closes at 7 in the evening, however, you get a key for it and explain how to open and close it. Our room was Tortuga, up the stairs. Every room has an animal name ( Iguana, Dolphin etc). The room was very clean, it looked different than a standard hotel room. The hotel is in a residential area , so not much space, but very well maintained. It is about 10-15 minutes away from the port and all the restaurants. There are mini markets around if you need to buy something quick and they are cheaper than in the touristic area. The hotel offers water to drink and to brush your teeth , they have it in the lobby and you have access to it whenever you need it. They also offer coffee there if you need it, it is an instant coffee that you make yourself. The room was very quiet, except at night when you can hear cats and dogs from the neighbors or from the street. The bed was very comfortable, the room got air conditioner and a small fridge. There is also a closet and a table, although the space was pretty limited. The bathroom is not very big but enough for what you need. They offer towels, liquid soap ( we also bought additional soap since it was just one at the sink) and there is also a hair drier. You can get also breakfast for $10/person. The staff was very nice and made sure we were all good. Online it was said we get a welcome drink which we did not, however, this does not make me lower my rate. I would consider this hotel again if I ever visit the island."

"I made the perfect choice when booking Hotel La Isla for my small group! The staff was so helpful, the rooms were comfortable and clean and the breakfast was delicious!. Outside the rooms in the hallway was purified water, coffee, tea and cookies which was welcome after a long, hot day. The location was absolutely perfect within walking distance to everything we needed. Highly recommend!"

"My experience was unfortunately very unpleasant. Of all the hotels I stayed in on the Galapagos Islands, it was not only the most expensive but also the worst value for money. The only positive aspect was the attentive service. Everything else was truly unacceptable for the price. To make matters worse, water leaked into my room from the floor above, apparently because the guests above me had managed to overflow their bathrooms. It was resolved quickly, which was great. However, it's clear the hotel is showing its age, and the room smelled musty and moldy. A real shame! I absolutely cannot recommend it, especially at that price."

"I checked in at the hotel as soon as I arrived in Puerto Ayora from the island of San Cristobal. The very educated and well-performing official. The coffee is on the latest floor, well varied and served in a buffet. The only problem was that last night he had a show with a very high noise and I had difficulty sleeping and had to wake early to go pro airport - I believe it would be good to put a noise-free window in front rooms, because many guests have to It was perfect to get up early for a trip or a boat trip."

The rooms are clean, well appointed and nice and cool after a hot day out and about. All the other staff were friendly and accommodating as well. Lovely breakfast on the roof top patio and just about everything you need right at hand. The hotel is close to everything you could need. Would absolutely recommend and would love to come back one day!"
