Our vacation, 11-15 Dec 2023, in Be Live Marien, Puerto Plata was excellent. From the moment we arrived, we were placed and treated as VIPs. The hotel has aged, however, clean and well Kept. The service outstanding! I would like to thank Luis at the VIP lounge bar, who served us our first drink, Francis, Roberto, Cecilia and Josefina at Dining, among others, who were extremely hospitable and helpful. The food was great and presentable. The activities and shows, even though it rained on our last two days, decided to go to the sport bar and had a great time drinking and dancing, and again, great service.
We are going back! in 2024.

The worst experience in terms of facilities, food, entertainment, customer service, that I have been able to receive, I booked aware that it was 5 stars and from the entrance it projects you that it does not have even 2 stars, at 12am you can see the full pool cats drinking water, it was for sure the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel.

Very friendly and helpful staff but the resort is in terrible shape. Many rooms flooded every time it rained. There were roof leaks in the main buffet, theater, ballroom, and guest rooms with black mold on the ceiling. The beach area was filthy with trash and sea ****. It was never groomed. They NEVER refund any money once you’ve paid. The owners just collect the money and do no upkeep. This was our second stay there and it has really deteriorated. We weren’t expecting high end luxury but this was really bad

We had an exceptional stay. Though the resort itself is older, it was very clean and comfortable. The staff made us feel like we were family. The food was very good. The only thing missing was a coffee station with a barista. However, we were able to make our own cappuccino with a self serve machine.

Most of the staff was extremely helpful and friendly . Hotel is extremely dated. My toilet only work on the last day. Shower didn’t function properly neither did sink . I had to use the Public bathrooms mainly . Food was decent. I wouldn’t recommend

We've stayed at this resort a few times through the years. Servers are friendly and aim to please. Grounds are beautiful and well cared for. However, reception area is showing its age and at times, it just needs cleaning. I understand they're focusing on profits by tying restaurant reservations to VIP packages, and if your policy is to limit guests to buffet meals unless they buy a VIP package it should be clearly stated - claiming that all reservations are booked by 9am is hard to believe. Food quality and selection needs to improve. Daily selection of breads and cheese was minimal, bacon nowhere to be found and mimosas left me wondering what was used in making them. Hopefully they can make needed improvements.

This resort is gorgeous!!! It is very clean and the rooms are beautiful. The staff was sooooo friendly and the food was so good!!! The pool is beautiful and huge. It is a bigger resort but I really liked it. It's about a 30 minute drive from the airport.

El hotel me gustó mucho, buena comida la piscina muy hermosa mi parte favorita, pero lo que arruinó mis vacaciones fue el trato de la bartender nati del bar de la playa esa señora es muy irrespetuosa y mal hablada no se le puede preguntar nada por qué te responde con una mala respuesta y mala cara todo el tiempo, le dije que me iba a quejar con su supervisor y la respuesta que me dió fue váyase a dónde le de la gana quiero se tome en cuenta que la actitud de esa señora daña mucho la calidad y el servicio de ese hotel.

I would like to discuss my stay I woke up with a bug on my I contacted vip guest service.they said they check the room that evening when we got back from our excursion their was two more on the bed finally they sent a guy from vip guest service which was rude their was two more insects dead on the bed and night stand I explained to him that this was not ok he was rude and kept saying lady it a insect not a bug I took pictures and two the the times they was bugs he kept saying lady listen to me ..before I checked out theI had a conversation with the assistant manager regarding the embarrassing conversation at the front desk and in the room with the vip ..I showed him the pictures and he apologized and agreed it was not ok
