Casa Velas Adults Only All Inclusive

Second trip back in April 2024 and just booked another stay for June! Lovely boutique resort that offers a quiet escape - with options for pool or (easy walk) to the beach. From the start, they accommodated room requests based on last year's stay and preferences, and we were quickly unpacked and ready to dine. Breakfast: Great selection and service - every morning we had conchas (our favorite pastry) waiting for us. Tau: An easy walk through the golf course to the beach club where Erick & team are attentive, hard working and make sure your stay is the best it can be. Tau food is excellent - great lunch grill options and mid day snacks. Clean facilities, relaxing ambiance on the ocean. Dinners: We typically eat at the restaurant on site - and Rodolfo always took care of us. Never an empty glass and went above and beyond to create a memorable experience each evening with our food requests and experiences. The General Manager and Jerry always made sure we had what we needed and we could not ask for more from an experience (thanks for the limoncello each night!!) We'll see everyone in a few weeks!

I'm usually not one to write reviews, good or bad, but after reading all of the fantastic reviews of this "luxury boutique resort" and then choosing to vacation here for our 10 year anniversary- I had pretty high expectations and they were not nearly met. I would say that this resort was probably a little too small for us. The food was decent, but not good enough for only one restaurant. The food at Tao beach club is pretty much the same so don't expect to eat anything different. We did get to have a dinner at Grand Velas and that was exceptional. We were also offered a dinner at Andrea's restaurant at their other sister property and we had to leave because we could just not eat what was served. No one was overly friendly and welcoming. If you've ever been to Jamaica everyone has a huge smile on their face welcoming you home and you truly feel- home. Here, not so much. There were a few servers at breakfast and dinner that were very kind. No one at the pool bar could ever crack a smile. Made you just feel uncomfortable. There was zero acknowledgement of our anniversary. We go away for our anniversary every year and every resort has always done something. Whether it was a bottle of champagne, rose petals etc. Here- we were told we could buy a package. We weren't asking for much, just a little "thank you" because this is the place we chose to celebrate. It is a beautiful property and very quiet so you definitely get your relaxation in, but other than that it was very underwhelming. I usually hate leaving vacation, but I honestly couldn't wait to go home. We were truly disappointed and wishing we had chosen somewhere else to stay to celebrate our milestone.

The property was pretty, but the "private" beach club was not private at all. Only one restaurant on the property. Food was medeocre at best. Tips are supposed to be included, however, you have to she out every time you get food or drinks and there is an option for a tip. The beach club was closed some of the days and honestly, not worth the money AT ALL. we will not return. Waste of time and money. Limited menu and no amenities were offered, as what were offered on *******. No one showed us around, we couldnt find the beach club. The couple days it was open, it was full. The propert is very misleading. False advertisement. Our spa credit did not accumulate and they literally had one menu to chose from, otherwise you had to ride by bus everywhere else. W ewere able to spend a total of maybe 4 hours on the back in a 5 day period.

Very relaxing, tranquil property and friendly service at the restaurants. Food was very high quality. Adults only property, but definitely not a resort for younger couples looking for a mix of liveliness to go with the quiet. It is definitely an older crowd and little to no action during the day - it was nice to be able to take advantage of the sister Velas Vallarta and Tau Beach Club for a bit more action.

First things first.. We are not in any way employed or in any manor reimbursed by Casa Velas for our reviews. We just returned from almost two weeks ( 3rd visit in less than 2 years ! ) and only wish we still were in our 2nd home with our good friends and family that comprises of the entire staff. Casa Velas is true oasis or retreat from ones everyday life and provides any and everything that one could wish for to make your stay a very special and memorable holiday. My wife and I are fortunate in our ability to travel quite extensively for several months each year, but each stay here is 5 stars +.. The grounds are beautiful and the staff works hard to maintain such beauty consistently. We book a Master Plus Suite each time and the roominess and comfort is perfect for anyone who demands the best .. Food whether at the restaurant or over at Club Tau is beautifully presented using only the freshest of ingredients and served by the most friendly and professional staff. Whether you lounge at poolside or over at Club Tau, you will be pampered and spoiled by the staff.. Casa Velas is a true 2nd home for us and we already our looking at the calendar to book our next 'family reunion' ! I just have to say 'Muchas Gracias to the best staff that one can find anywhere and I mean anywhere..They all deserve our most sincere appreciation .... Miguel Dorado- ( GM ) for always being concerned for our comfort and enjoyment and with his warm smile. Sofia -looking out for us and assisting in any way to enhance our stay and again with a smile.. The restaurant staff- Jesus,Alfredo,Rudolfo,Alvalos,Oswaldo,Daniel,Fatima and I know I left out someone for their true warmth and efficiency each morning for breakfast and each evening at dinner. The entire staff at Club Tao-made our days and evenings always very special. Ulises,Ramon and Juan at the pool for their so friendly personalities and service that can only be described as perfect ! A final appreciative nod to the General Manager-Enrique Sinencio who is a very unique and professional asset overseeing the entire operations at Casa Velas.. He is consistently inquiring about our stay and making certain that everyone on the staff is making sure that every need of a guest is fulfilled and the Velas organization is quite fortunate to have such a professional and sincere individual employed. Gorgeous property, luxurious rooms, and incredible hospitality! We felt spoiled and completely relaxed the entire time. The staff is so friendly and attentive. Our meals were delicious and made even more enjoyed by our servers. Alvos, our server at breakfast was not only engaging and professional, but he was kind enough to teach us some Spanish and we loved it!! He was so friendly and had a good sense of humor. We all looked forward to seeing him at breakfasts. Thank you sir. We had a beautiful sunset dinner at the property's beach club, the food and setting was absolutely stunning. Again, the most excellent service and Brenda was absolutely delightful in her service and kindness. Every meal at the resort was beautifully prepared and delicious. We can not say enough good things about the service. 5 stars all the way. The rooms are very clean and beautiful just like the entire property. We loved the beds, they were very comfortable and the bath products were L'Occitane which I enjoyed. They provided everything you would need, toothbrush, shaving kit, hair dryer, etc...We are not golfers but did enjoy the grand swimming pool with the wonderful swim up bar. The serano margarita is now a favorite for us. It was very relaxing. We do enjoy an adult resort. The gardenscaping and architecture is vibrant with colorful flowers and tropical well manicured plants and trees. It is lovely! This resort provides everything you need and the staff is attentive and friendly. They made us feel so welcome. Also, they have transportation to the other property if you would like to enjoy that too. It is more of a family place and louder than Casa Velas. We went there for their fiesta night dinner and felt like we were on a cruise ship. We regretted not experiencing the fine dining at Casa Velas in lieu of the fiesta buffet. However the entertainment at the fiesta was wonderful, the mariachi band was very talented. We enjoyed watching them perform. Their Beach Club at Tau is very luxurious, we loved spending the afternoon there and it was everything we would expect from a beach club, tented sun beds lined up on the beach, excellent beach service, towels, water bottles, and the ocean water was warm. We will be back to this resort and very much recommend it!! Thank you Casa Velas!!

We came here for our 1st anniversary, after getting married here last year! It is the most beautiful place on earth that we have ever been! The food and drinks are amazing, but the service is even better! At the pool side bar, Ulises, Ramon, and Juan are sooo accomodating. They make sure you always have what you need and do it with a smile on their face. At Emilianos, Avalos will bring joy to your morning cup of coffee with his exuberant personality! Rodolfo, Daniel, and Miguel took great care of us during all of our dinners too! The beach club is very relaxing and has a different food menu from Casa Velas. Everything we ate was very good! We can't wait to make this beautiful destination an annual vacation!

We had a number of flashing lights in our room 309. Fire detector flashed all night above the bed and the connection to the internet lit up throughout the night. The room was out of date….sliding door hard to open , Outside hot tub was nasty. Stained and sliced in the cement. No way would we would use it. However we enjoyed our stay very much. Staff were delightful.. entertainment was excellent ..
