Sunset Plaza Beach Resort Puerto Vallarta All Inclusive

Great Service.

I must admit, when I arrived I was disappointed in the property. The photos made it look so luxurious, and the reviews sounded so wonderful. The next morning my opinion changed. I appreciated it all so much. It was exactly what we needed. I loved the friendliness of the staff, the comfortable, safe property with easy access to the beach. We traveled with our grown children and their babies. We were safe and very well taken care of. Loved this place!

Staff professional, kind, friendly and warm.

This is our third vacation at the Sunset Plaza and every time we have loved it. The staff is above the top amazing and I have to give special kudos to several staff who went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Some names I cannot remember, but please know that they all treated us incredible! Thank you to Mario, Nicholas, and Andres and their counterparts as they made our stay so amazing! They made us laugh daily and feel like we were at home. We loved the activities, staff, Raul and Angel. They did such a great job at keeping activities going and entertained us as we did water aerobics and the different games they offered. They were so kind and so fun to be with! This restaurant staff is always my favorite. They truly are like a family and we know how hard they work to make us feel special. Kudos to Victor, Armando, Joel, Erik, Rolando and several others..I can’t think of their names, as well as the coffee, bakery shop with Yolanda and the morning staff that always were so accommodating and joyful. They all just made our stay exceptional. On this trip, there were only two things I wish they would change. One, the pillows are all extremely thick and hard. There’s not a variety of sizes or thickness. For us, the most challenging part for us on this trip was there was a tendency to play the music extremely loud during the day and at night it was worse. The neighboring resort would also blast different music until about 11 o’clock at night. It was like being in two different loud concerts at the same time. Our room was quite high up and the different pounding music just bounced into our deck/room relentlessly. It was very frustrating. This happened most nights. We usually don’t mind the music for entertainment over The weekend, but this went most weeknights as well. We were hoping to have some quiet and relaxing evenings to get away from all the noise at home., This was not going to happen during this trip. This seemed like a new change this time around. Wishing they would turn the music off at least by 10 and not Play it so loud. Despite those, we will still come back as we do love the Sunset and still feel it is worth staying at. Just hoping they can fine-tune those two things in the future.

This place is amazing, at times it felt like there were more staff than guests. We were attended on fast at every chance we got. Our room was huge and had 2 bathrooms for a single suite at a crazy good price. The pool area were clean and drinks were quick. One thing I didn't expect form an all inclusive was the food; all the food was really good. We'll definitely go back!

Breakfast and lunch wait staff was excellent and food was delicious. Italian/themed restaurant food was marginal. Bakery was very good and offered daily soup and salad bar. Drinks were good and wait staff at pool side did a nice job. They held a BBQ and Mexican dinner buffet during the week with entertainment and both were very good. Overall a well run establishment. They are in the process of expanding the hotel and it looks as if this work has stopped for some reason. Was told by a timeshare member that the expansion started a few years prior and no reasons given for the stoppage. They do attempt to recruit hotel guests for the timeshare sales pitch. Told them I was interested and wasn't approached again.

Great smaller resort, excellent staff. Rooms all face ocean but are a little tired. Requests dealt with immediately. Our daughter and her 14 year old were charged as a single and child at $500 more than two adults sharing. Our complaints were ignored. Disappointing.

Very quiet, not a party resort, good for relaxing.
