After an overall pleasant stay at this resort I became violently ill to my stomach on the fourth day of our trip. I only ate and drank at the resort. Due to my illness my husband and I had to extend our stay and rebook our flights home as I was too ill to travel. I had to see the resort doctor who despite telling me I needed an IV didn't have the supplies to provide one. As soon as I returned to the US I was immediately treated at Mayo clinic where it was determined I had two extreme forms of E. Coli (Shiga toxin producing E. coli and E. coli o157) and Rotovirus. These forms of E. Coli come from improper food handling, undercooked meat and food workers not washing their hands. I was so sick that hospitalization was considered, as my kidneys were not functioning properly due to severe dehydration. I am young and healthy and have never been sick like this. This type of E. Coli exposure can be life threatening in the young and elderly and thus was reported to the local health department who also contacted the health department in Mexico. I have travelled throughout Mexico, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic without any issue. The resort was exceedingly difficult to deal with when I tried to report my illness. I was often told the general manager was not on duty and only reached her after multiple calls. She failed to send multiple emails she promised to send with information. I would highly suggest a different resort where proper food handling protocols are in place.

We just returned from Hyatt ziva and it did not disappoint. This was our 2nd time coming to this hotel and we had. A wonderful time. The food was fantastic, although the Asian is not as good as last time. Blaze has the best views out of any restaurant. Sucimo at blaze is so friendly and kind. Enrique and Carlos at blaze are great as well. The night time shows are good and the entertainment staff work hard to ensure everyone is having a great time. The rooms are updated and clean. The beach was quiet rocky right when you enter at the break. We don’t recall so many rocks the last trip we took 2 years ago. Once you are past the break there are no rocks. The water is very refreshing, not too cold and not too warm. All of the staff are friendly, you never walk by anyone without them saying hello. We will definitely be back again.

El servicio , calidad , infraestructura del hotel , nos encanto, la playa sin piedras, los alimentos riquísimos , al igual que las bebidas, la limpieza en todas las áreas. viajamos con menores de edad y tiene alberca para niños, al igual que albercas para solo adultos, se presta totalmente para viajes familiares o de amigos. Felicitaciones a Francisco, que esta en el área de ceviches en la alberca Alejandra Rubio por apoyarnos en toda la estancia , Hector , mesero del restaurante BLAZE.

Lots of time relaxing on the beach and in the ocean for the week. Great variety of restaurants and the food was excellent overall. Incredible service from all resort staff. Outstanding couples massage and spa experience. The resort is beautiful. Very comfortable beds, and our club tower room was in great shape (no wear). Will definitely return.

This property is incredible and if you hold Hyatt status as discoverist, explorist or globalist is even better because this is one of the few Hyatt properties that will actually honor your status. As globalist, I received an upgrade from a standard room to one of the best penthouse suites that included a huge pool, jacuzzi, huge living room, huge dinning room, two mini bars, two huge balcones, beach chairs with umbrella, huge bedroom, etc. The service provided by the Hyatt team was well beyond what I usually expect and the food quality was excellent. Another key highlight of this property is the in-room dinning which in my opinion has been the best one in comparison with other all inclusive hotels such as secrets. I want to give thanks to David from check-in for making us feel welcome and provide us the amazing upgrade. I also want to thank Odin from the Asian restaurant that made our dinner much more special. Last but not least, I want to thank Saul from the Vivaz restaurant and Sergio from Casa Grande restaurant for their incredible service and friendly attitude. I also want to mention that this property is very clean and doesn’t feel crowded at all, it was just PERFECT!

My husband and I went for our honeymoon. The stay was wonderful especially the spa! The restaurants were delicious. The staff was very friendly and gave great service. The only issue we had, and the reason for giving 1 lower star involves their Playa Collection membership employees. As soon as we checked in we got bombarded by a representative who tried his best to sign us up for a breakfast presentation. If we attended that presentation we would receive a voucher for a complimentary spa visit, or complimentary cabana for a day. When I say "bombarded" I mean he would not take no for an answer. He knew we had just flown in, and were tired and hungry. I told this guy that I really just wanted to get to our room so we could get settled in. The next morning after realizing that we were not going to give in my Husband looked back. He was smirking and bantering back and forth with someone else in disgust at the situation. I was really disappointed by that, and it wasn't something I expected from a Hyatt establishment.
