There isn't a single thing that I can put my finger on, but several small things that marred our pleasant holiday. 1. Room was smaller than average standard rooms. 2. There was no electric kettle or mini bar or iron and iron board or toiletries in bath or a mini locker were provided in the standard room. 3. The air conditioner was not working but thankfully the windows could be tilted for fresh air. We didn't complain. 4. Room was not super clean. The carpet gave it a cheap and dirty look. 5. The bed was small for a family with a toddler. There was no other sofa bed in the room. Nor there was enough space to fit in a separate toddler bed in the room. 6. The complimentary drink was a joke. Maybe just to lure guests to the bar. My husband had beer (probably 10ml glass) and I had ginger ale because there were no cocktail/mocktail/juices to choose from. Some good points are: 7. It is located a bit away from the centre and the river, but a train station and a bus stop are right around the corner. 8. The parking fee is nominal. 20EUR/night. 9. Bed was good, neither hard nor too soft.

Reserved for one night with grandson (11) as a base for a visit to Neanderthal. Private underground parking, not too wide but more convenient than searching for a place on the street. No TV or telephone guide, but menu from the in-house Italian restaurant La Scala. No air conditioning in the room but a window but at higher outdoor temperatures, no cool room. We were both of the same about the poor quality of the head coats, and according to the good German custom, you must make your bed yourself, Maw, throw a layer on it and the donut cover on it again. Bathroom spacious and beautiful with inlet-regen shower, hairdryer also available. Beautiful indoor pool, pleasant water temperature, clothing cabins and free towels available. Only the lockers were not accessible, 4 bedrooms, which is a little on the saving side. I have already stayed more often in this hotel. The location is very good from a professional point of view as I am in the company with the car in 10 minutes. There are sufficient parking facilities. Without car you are more swept here. Eating, shopping etc are still away. However, there is a baker that opened this morning. The hotel is located in an industrial area with a lot of truck traffic. When you have a room on the street, you get a lot of it. At a room to the indoor courtyard it can be noisy just at the weekend, because here is an event location. The rooms are modernly furnished. Search the bathroom is modern. Equipment and size are good. Unfortunately the rooms are not so well maintained. Also the cleanliness was not really good this time. Breakfast is ok. Also the service is ok. Not really friendly but also not unfriendly.

We were in the restaurant for coffee and cake, which was reasonably good but when we left after spending €32 we had to pay €5.40 for the hotel car par. We expected, the car park would’ve been free of charge in view of our consumption in the restaurant. Unfortunately there was no possibility to come to an agreement on a heylower , more adequate parking fee.
