This was the worst experience ever... I flew into the Dominican Republic on a Friday, checked into Riu, and checked out on the same day. It was absolutely disgusting; the staff were prejudiced, and I still haven't received any of my money back, even though I prepaid for a week. I've emailed their reservations depar**ent and complaints depar**ent. They said it would take 24 business days to investigate without my refund, then they'll process my refund. The call center is rude, the liquor tasted like metal, and as you can see below, my bedspread was completely unsanitary. This ordeal has made me hesitant about traveling. I had to book an emergency taxi and flight out of the country. It was the worst experience of my life, and I still don't have my money, lol.

This place SUCKS!! DO NOT STAY HERE!! The hotel is dirty and unsanitary. From the moment I arrived, I was looking at flights to get back home. The entire place is dated and not appealing to the eye. Aside from that, it's also extremely dirty. Stains were on the elevators, doors, curtains and bedding. There was rust throughout the bathroom and also inside of the liquor bottles. HUH??!! The bedding had random hairs on it and the hotel had a distinct stench. Additionally, the food made everyone in my party sick. I have never been so happy and grateful for HOME. On a positive note, the proximity to the beach is great and so were the various sales reps that solicited there. Who goes on vacation to lose weight?? That should tell you exactly how this "vacation" was... nauseating.

El servicio de las habitaciones debe mejorar un poco, no rellenan la neverita de bebidas, no dejaron incluso agua en la habitation, ni jabón para duch****, y al llamar a reception nunca contestaron, y al ir personal por igual no fueron a ver la habitacion.

Hotel didn’t have face towels, consistently ran out of pool towels. Liquor was watered down. Hotel needs maintenance. Staff was really rude int he steak house restaurant. The buffet food is horrible

William at the party pool is the best. He made our week here memorable! Will definetly come back here next year because of him!
