"Prior to visiting Royalton Splash Punta Cana, I have visited other islands and had the butler service. I wanted my kids to experience the extraordinary things my husband and I did so I bought the diamond club package. My family and I arrived around 8pm so we ate at the buffet. The foods options were not up to our typical standards and immediately started making dinner plans at different restaurants. We asked our butler to make those reservations and he did so with ease. The best restaurant was Zen, the hibachi on the Punta Cana side. The gelato runs out quickly at Beans so midday is the perfect time to go. There aren’t many breakfast and lunch options throughout both resorts. We booked the family room with bunk beds. I would not recommend this accommodation because there was zero privacy; no where to get dressed. The cleanliness of our room was fine until our last full day. No one came to clean our room until I asked for fresh towels at 5:30pm so we could get ready for dinner! While we got our reservations for dinner through our butler service, he did not go above and beyond like the service I’ve received at other resorts. Anytime I asked for things in our room, beverages, more towels, it took over a day to receive. Additionally, this is not the place to come to relax. We were invited to a lovely breakfast not knowing that this was an invitation for a vacation club- wasting two hours of our vacation! At the beach, the vendors come to your chair to try to get you to take pictures with monkeys, iguanas, and parrots, get your hair braided or a foot rub, or purchase an excursion, pictures, sunglasses. The people selling these are relentless! My family did love the waterpark. The slides were very fun! As always, the wave pool was very dirty. Overall, this is not a resort that I will return to."
