If you only want to read positives and don't like any negatives you might want to just move on. This review will not be for you. We stayed 9 days, in a Premium swim up room. The cost for 2 was close to $8000 Canadian however that also included flights as it was a package purchase. Upon arrival we were taken to the Premium lounge and introduced to our 'butler' who sat us down and asked questions of our needs. The only thing we asked for was to not have beer in our mini fridge and only stocked with coke light and water. Our son and D-I-L, along with their young son, also were part of our party. They needed to have it noted that the son has a serious peanut allergy. D-I-L had emailed the resort before our arrival to insure this was noted as well. The 'butler' printed out a letter and gave it to her to show at each of the restaurants. He then took us on a tour of the resort and left us at our rooms. That evening we went to the Italian restaurant for our dinner. When we arrived D-I-L presented the letter to the hostess who read it and looked confused. She then took it to someone we assumed was the head waiter and he read it and looked confused. Hostess came back and gave returned the letter to DIL bus still looked confused. DIL explained about the peanut allergy in case that would help explain. Hostess nodded and took us to a table. When the waiter came to take our order, DIL showed him the letter and once again explained. He nodded with a smile and left us with our menus. While we were looking over these menus a charcuterie board showed up and smack in the middle of it was a bowl of peanuts. A BOWL OF PEANUTS. I won't go into how the rest of the meal went, it was not good. We found the language barrier really showed and this was a continuous thing throughout our stay. We had arrived at the resort late due to our flight leaving late and it had been a very long day so we all retired early, about 9 PM. 9:35 there was a knock on the door, 'house keeping'. I answered the door and it turned out to be a turn down service. I told the person we did not need it and would not need it for our entire stay. She smiled and said 'turn down'. I repeated we did not need turn down and she smiled and said 'towels?'. No, please take us off your list for turndown. She shook her head yes and I closed the door. We had that knock for the next 6 nights with me requesting they not come, each and every time. There was no Do Not Disturb sign in the room and when I asked the turndown person for one she made a show of looking through the towels before shaking her head no. Again, English was very bad and we have little Spanish. Food was okay but it was hit and miss. I ordered a noodle dish from Seaside grill one lunch and it was amazing. We went back a few days later and I reordered it with a bowl of corn cream. They brought me a salad instead of the soup, which I politely declined. I decided that the noodle bowl would be enough and no
