We first came to this hotel over Christmas 2023. We liked it so much, we returned. We are seasoned travelers, and have visited the DR several times, including a stay at Casa de Campo. So we have some ability to compare. The property, surrounded by nature, is very lush. The decor is a soothing mix of natural and contemporary— including the large, renovated rooms. The pool is huge and the beach is simply gorgeous. But the warm staff is among the top reasons we returned. On arrival, we were greeted by Vincent, who actually remembered us and offered a warm, “Welcome back Family!” Miguel at the front desk was another welcome face. Jenda and other front desk staff were kind and helpful. Big shout out to the Room Service team. Emanuel, Gustavo, Yuly, Mike, Miguel, Daria Julia. So kind and eager to serve. We loved dining at The Grill. Kudos to Chef Jahvre! (Sp?) The whole grilled snapper, the flatbreads, the arancini, the fresh salads were all terrific, with a lovely ocean view. Thank you Felix, Gustavo and Emile for your warm service. While they work invisibly, the housekeeping staff kept our room impeccably clean! And lastly, we want to express our appreciation for Issa. Every day he worked HARD raking the beach of what ****s had washed ashore to keep it as pristine as you will ever see! Thank you Issa!! This place does feel like home away from home to us, which is high on our list of what makes a hotel feel special to us. We certainly hope to be back!

We had a wonderful week at the Westin and would definitely stay again. A few things I would suggest to make it better …. Having a small market for hotel guests , several clean water stations for refills, and later pool /hot tub hours .

The resort was beautiful once we arrived. The room we were assigned to had dead bugs and spider webs in the corners or the room that were very visible. They immediately upgraded our room and move us. We then moving into a room that smells highly of mildew. The shower was lined in mold, the ac vent is above the bed and dripped water on us all night. No one really understood English on the property or spoke it. All tv shows are in Spanish as well. We dined in at two of the restaurants which one over charged us by $40. We went to breakfast once and they attempted to charge us $71 for two. We did not eat because it was cold as soon as we sat to eat. We honestly will not be returning or referring this resort.

The beach was beautiful, over all the room was nice. The Premium ocean view could only be enjoyed from the balcony. The food was just not good except for the fish tacos. It was uncomfortable to have staff ask for cash tips at almost every occasion when we tried to leave it on the bill. Shout out to maintenance for unclogging the shower drain in a timely fashion (previous guest left a hair clog, I don't blame hotel)

This resort was amazing!!! The staff was so wonderful- everyone was so incredibly friendly and helpful! Everything was “ It’s my pleasure!” The waiters at the beach and pool were so nice ( especially Ramon and Claudio); the housekeeping was spotless ( Jenny was so sweet and even put a swan made of towels and rose petals on our bed even though we’ve been married over 30 years and kept us well stocked with water), the front desk was so helpful answering all of our questions and going above and beyond for us! I wish I could remember all of their names but it was so refreshing to be treated so nicely! The beach was clean and not crowded so you could read your book without being bothered by others. The pool was great too! Everyone on the staff always greeted you as you walked by and the towel guys were so friendly too. We went to Barbados last year to a very high end resort and they were not very nice. We went to a resort in Florida the year before and they charged us $50 a day for beach chairs even though they charged a resort fee. This resort was not crowded and other than the occasional party boat going by it was so calm and peaceful…not full of crazy spring breakers. We ate at 3 of the resort’s restaurants on neighboring properties and visited the ecological preserve which was a very unique experience. They gave us a ride to each one with no problem. Scuba was great too. We’ll definitely stay at another Westin property if we have the chance. Such a great vacation!

An amazingly beautiful resort. Pristine in service and maintenance of the property. Meals were great with several options of award winning cuisines to choose from, on the property. Don't thi k about this option twice. You wont be disappointed. Thanks to staff for delivering everytime.

A lovely vacation spoilt by theft of some money from our backpack in our room. Further disappointment was the condescending attitude of one of the service agents there (Moya Martinez) when trying to get an update on the investigation. Beach was lovely, bar had good selection of liquor, food was reasonably good and majority of staff very attentive. However someone there is a THIEF.
