Close your eyes. Imagine a perfect tropical beach. Palm trees. Beautiful sand. Clear blue water. The sound of very gentle waves. Look to your left, you see only nature and very few people. Look to your right, you see only nature. There are beach sofas and loungers spaced far between, most of them empty. There is a warm breeze. Now open your eyes. You are at Zoetry Agua Beach. I've never been at a tropical beach in the Caribbean that was so postcard-perfect. The resort is very peaceful and quiet. There is so much space for the low number of rooms that you feel you're sharing a piece of tropical paradise with only a few other guests. The staff is very attentive and will always try to help you with anything you need. A big thank you to Alejandro, our concierge, and Naomi, one of the waiters. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and have a very 'tropical cabana' vibe. The food is great, but this is a resort in the Caribbean, so it would not be fair to expect Paris, London, or Lisbon Michelin-star level dinning. I think all the reviews that mention something bad about the food come down to unrealistic expectations. A positive note about our fellow guests - at least during our stay we felt most other guests to be friendly and in a relaxing mood. Finally a note about inclusivity. We are a male *** couple and we were treated as well as any other couple, by staff and guests alike. So a big thumbs up on LGBT friendliness here. I hope to return to Zoetry Agua Punta Cana in the future.
