Jewel Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resort

Very clean property, grounds are well maintained. The beach is also clean, however it is not very much room for lounging in the shade. There is not many Cabanas on the beach so you have to roast in the sun. The swim up pools bars are awesome, however ALL of the mixed drinks throughout to property are more sugar than alcohol. The food at the buffet restaurant needs improvement. It seems like the food sits out too long before being replaced and a better selection needs to be offered at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The buffet certainly needs an overhaul. The Hibachi, Mexican and Steak restaurants are very good. The only restaurant that requires reservations is the Hibachi restaurant. There is a 24-hour cafe on the property that offer finger foods, ice cream, coffee, pastries, fruit and non alcoholic beverages. There is a restaurant on the beach that is also recommendable that offers burgers, fries, pizza, cheese nachos and grilled chicken with a bar that offer mixed drinks. The rooms seem to have veen freshly renovated, they are very spacious and clean, however the only concern I had was mosquitoes in the room. I had to call room service to come spray the room for mosquitoes a couple of times. Property was not bad and I do recommend it, however I've been to better all inclusive properties in the area.

I was here for business and therefore didn't have input in choosing the location. I've stayed at a Dreams before. My thought is the same for both locations in that people are spending a lot of money on mediocre food and old rooms. All restaurants are not all open every night for dinner. This means you could wait over an hour to eat depending on what time you go to dinner. The buffet has a variety of foods but the restaurants have a limited menu. The quality of that food varies. We had VERY pink burgers at the grill but a great burger from room service. We had a bad pasta dish with canned chicken in it but we also had a great chicken parm from the same restaurant. The rooms need work. The chain had been ripped off our door and not replaced. The wall sockets are so worn out that plugs fall out. The shower head was being held up by electrical tape. The TV was grainy. One of our sinks didn't drain. The decorative pillows on the bed were stained. I don't think the place is dirty, but it does need updating. There are rules posted that you can't save chairs by the pool. Every morning you see people saving chairs. Some of these chairs have items and no people for HOURS. I wish they'd follow through with the threat of removing items being used to save chairs. The beach is beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful. We wished the thermostat went lower.

Amazing resort for family vacation , right next to reception area they have this huge theater where most of night activity take place, shows are well planned and by skilled performers. Unfortunately people tend to reserve their seats too long before curtains open, they simply leave sleepers/shoes or any items on seats for 3 hours unattended and assume it is their place , and some even come an hour late to the show, the management does not do anything about it . They have one of the longest swimming pools I’ve ever seen all the way across the resorts and ends with a pool bar at the beach, some day activity happens by the pool bar. Regular rooms are super small we got an upgrade and we were happy with it . They have a nice kids center with busy activities highly recommended, at least try it , one kid was aggressive towards others and he was banned from the center. There was 2 stores across from the cafe is the reception area ( ground floor) I visited this place with my son for the first 4 days as my soon was hesitant on what item he can buy at a souvenir, so I got very familiar with prices there, on day 5 they dropped a flyer about 40% discount ( great),except that knowing the prices before , when we went on day 5th all of sudden prices changed overnight to higher prices which mas the discount in reality only 6 % at its best. People thought they were really buying discounted goods , I call it a scam . On the other hand the cloths store that was separated from the gift shop was decent with good prices. One annoying thing was one of the Resturant was only for adults ( why have adult Resturant in a family resort ) . Overall the staff was very nice , knowledgeable, courteous and lovely. Don’t buy from the gift shop, offers/ coupons for massage and tours have 100 exceptions and a way of luring you there to buy , theming about arranging your own tours using different companies . One example use the hotel services for airport transportation was 50$ more than just use anyone in the airport.

My first visit to Dream Punta Cana was somewhat of a wash out. We arrived on Sat and Sun night the hurricane hit. Pools were closed, activities cut short. I wanted to try again. I was on a four night Sat-Wed trip. It was much better this time. Everything was opened including the disco. Hotel is closing in December for renovations. I had no problem with my room (bldg 2) If you have a problem walking you need to pre request bldg 9 which is closer to the buffet and theater. Very clean and grounds are beautiful. There was a wedding on Wednesday. Raul assisted me with check out and remembered me from prior stay which was nice. Food was excellent with many choices. Chef Marvin is the best. He makes fabulous rice pudding and the breaded zucchini and eggplant is too die for. Frank and Jhoni were the best also. Frank never stopped running around the dining room collecting plates, pouring wine. He is very pleasant and asset to the Dreams family. Jhoni was attentive always checking to see if all is well with food and dining room. Bar: i was having trouble getting coke zero in my room and a bartender at the fiesta area gave me a whole bottle that i could refill my cup. That was so nice but I didn't get his name. Entertainment team: i still had dance partners : Tony, Moises and Angel. I really appreciate them taking time to dance as it is my passion/hobby. I missed my long time amigo, Chocolate who moved to a different Dreams property. Overall. I will be back to a Dreams property in the future, probably April or May with my family to celebrate birthday and college gradulations. Dominican Republic is my HAPPY place Sandra

I’ve had so much fun at this resort. The pool is amazing and the food has been amazing. The entertainment was beyond expecatation. The crew went out of their way to make everyone have a good time. Chocolate (his name) went well above and beyond to make our experience great.

Just arrived back from this resort. We had a blast the hotel was so clean, staff happy friendly and their uniforms immaculate. The entertainment team were amazing constantly working hard to get everyone together and amazing dancing. The themed lunches were lovely and made a change from the Buffett area. The bar teams also worked hard and special shout out to Eddy in the Rendezvous bar area and Alex and Marcos at the swim up bar.

Wow don't stay here change hotels I got bites on my leg from the bed hard to believe when it's only been open a year preferred club is bad and the butler omar his name never contacted me only when we checked in didn't even come for cases when at checkout they didn't care I nearly lost when this guy started smiling at checkout it's like they can't speak English had to get head butler he said I will go and check but wasn't bothered because uve already paid they was flys all over the food they had plastic covers but couldn't be bothered putting they over so you flys can't get to food chef asked me did I want pork at meat station world cafe he picked raw meat and used the same tongs to give me a cooked one I just walked away you might think I'm over picky but believe me I wanted change hotel to H10 ocean blue and sands which I've been to makes dreams look like a 2 star at best decor good but also alcohol watered down melia caribe is good in Puerto plata the gran ventana is the best hotel I've been to in dom rep frankie pascal was the manager their and he sorted things out asap
