Beautiful location, rooms are on the estate, where the garden is beautifully maintained. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. The bathroom is a bit dated, but otherwise neat. Coffee and tea can be prepared in your room. Breakfast is tasty with freshly squeezed orange juice.

I stayed in one of the luxury (superior) suites. They may cost a bit more, but I think its worth it. A complete home from home. Everything you can expect, a great bed, a shower with lots of power. Some free drinks in the mini-bar. Fruit and nibbles on the table. A nice sofa to sit on. (I suspect it can be transformed into an extra bed). The room itself is a separate building. The more standard rooms of in small blocks of about five rooms. This gives plenty of privacy. The rooms all have private access from the beautiful gardens outside. What was nice to see was that everything was being well maintained. The gardeners were busy, the patios were being cleaned, etc. All the chairs in the restaurant had been renewed. A great time was had.

Beautiful location indeed. We had a house that was difficult to warm, but otherwise okay. The food was downright chaotic because there was also a party. With many questions we finally got our food. After the stay my ereader was lost. Various telephone calls and emails, where I also indicated that I would check the bedding, were to no avail. Two months later I received the ereader from the laundry. The organization of Vanenburg Castle, no matter how beautiful, leaves much to be desired.

We stayed for a Saturday night away and had dinner in the restaurant as well. It was a very relaxing, refreshing escape. Our junior suite was spacious and comfortable, the grounds are lovely. Staff were professional if not openly friendly. Definitely recommended.
