Hotels Near Hacienda San Marcos in Quito

Very nice hotel for the price. Clean, comfortable, modern. Great staff, including the reception people who speak English (as well as Spanish, of course). Rooms are tidy and convenient. Rooftop deck offers great views (and a fun space to hang out in during a lightning storm). Staff is friendly and efficient. I would stay there again. One thing to keep in mind, it's not easy to find apparently. Our taxi driver got very lost and we had to use my cell phone to help direct him. When you reserve, if you're planning to use a taxi, you may want to message the hotel to ask them to send you an email explaining how to get there, something you can hand to the driver. Good brew pubs next door. Very quiet area considering it's a short walk to the financial district and Parque Carolina.

Got upgraded to a suite, huge room with big, beautiful bathroom with the best shower ever. nice location and not too far from main attractions, Breakfast does not have many options so that was little disappointed other than our stay was very comfortable. Excellent customer service.

We had an exceptional experience at this restaurant! The food was exquisite, with each dish perfectly crafted and full of flavor. The cocktails were equally impressive, offering a creative and delightful selection that complemented the meal perfectly. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the evening. A special shoutout to Geovanny Armas, who made our visit truly memorable. He was incredibly attentive, took the time to explain the menu in detail, and made us feel right at home. His service added a personal touch that elevated the entire dining experience. First of all, the Hilton Colon - like most Hiltons outside the U.S. - is far superior to equivalent Hilton properties in the States. Relatively clean rooms (no stray hairs anywhere!), comfortable bed, great shower water pressure, clean towels, nice and cozy executive lounge, etc. The room, and the property in general, is dated but things mostly work as they should. In the Southwest facing ”executive” king room, and in the executive lounge, the views of the city are spectacular. Unfortunately, the ”free” breakfast buffet is slop, with the most atrocious coffee in Quito. The exception is the made-to-order egg station and the nice gentleman who expertly cooks them. Bring your own coffee from one of the countless cafes nearby and then order just the eggs and some toast. Or, better yet, get an authentic Ecuadorian breakfast elsewhere for just a few dollars. There was extensive road construction going on during my stay on Avenida Patria, which is the main road adjacent to the South side of the property. Very loud during the day, and bright spot-lights aimed at the hotel were left on during the night for some perplexing reason. Not the hotel's fault, of course - just something to be aware of if planning to stay here in the near future. Lastly, the front desk receptionists at this hotel reminded me of the female customs agents at Quito airport. Not friendly for sure, and rather stern. On the other hand, many other staff members, housekeeping in particular, were kind and helpful. Would I stay here again? I think so, once the road construction is completed.

We usually try to stay at Marriott properties when travelling as we know what we are likely to get and my Platinum Elite status normally brings some extras. We had arrived into Quito on a late flight so it was around 1am when we were checking in - quite a simple process and the receptionist gave us a quick rundown on the hotels facilities before we went up to our room. The room and bathroom were reasonably spacious and were fine for the 2 nights we stayed. The bed was especially comfortable. Breakfast was a good selection on the ground floor with an egg station to go with a cooked breakfast. Unfortunately they hadn’t switched on the electric warming plate under the sausage and bacon so it was cold which took away the pleasure somewhat. They do have a lounge available to those on the club floors and Platinum members but the receptionist hadn’t given us the correct keycard so had to change it before we could enter. A few snacks and drinks available in the afternoon and 2 or 3 cooked items in the evening. We didn’t eat dinner in their restaurant as they are a number of other restaurants nearby. Overall a good stay with room for some improvement.

Really good experience. From the start people super friendly and felt welcomed. Excellent service and location. Although is located in a busy street and area, there is security and really close to malls, restaurants, banks, supermarket and also a nice barber shop next to the premises. Breakfast to die for. Will definitely recommend.

The room was also said in the past, but the level of facilities was too low. Especially the quality of the bed and the bedding were old and uncomfortable, which was very important for travelers. The overall style is distinctive, but for underdeveloped areas and countries, this personalized residential house still needs to remind travelers to consider carefully. No air conditioning, so no heating, the quilt is too thin, the bed cover is a blanket, too heavy, a series of operations that I don't understand? Maybe it's for a strong or fat person to sleep. My wife and I always stay overnight at the Wyndham when we arrive on a late flight to Quito after our travels. We live fairly close-by but we feel like we are extending our vacation for another night when we stay here. The hotel is beautiful and everyone we come into contact with is very nice and provides impeccable service.
