Everyone was super helpful and friendly ! Here Eve, was especially helpful providing me with clear information about different tours which I could take from the hostel. She helped me to book the Otavalo day tour, it was very quick and easy. Information given to me was very clear and helped me to decide what I wanted to do.

Fabulous location, amazing staff. Lovely a**osphere, great rooftop bar, food and views. Free walking tour of Quito brilliant. Hali our guide was hilarious and so knowledgeable. We stayed again after trip to Amazon and had our clothes washed and dried within 3hrs. Thanks Martha.

I only had an overnight stay but I recieved a warm and comprehensive welcome from the staff. The rooms were cool and comfortable, particularly the bunk beds that are stable and quiet. The roof top has beautiful views. It felt safe an secure. Bathrooms were clean and functional. I'm looking forward to my return visit.

I like the a**osphere which is a result of the helpful staff and guests. It gets lively with happy hour extending into the mid evening. Only been here a few days but that’s my cursory impressions.

This is my second stay at The Secret Garden, first time was solo in the dorms and this time with a friend in a private room. The place is clean, the people are super friendly, the upstairs deck is fantastic with a view over the Quito Historic District. Views at night of the church are amazing. The private room was fine. Bathrooms are super clean, plenty of hot water. Though this hostal may 'cater' to mostly young people, it's a perfectly great place for those of us older people who have not lost the spirit of hostals. Had the group dinner one night and it was a delicious curry with rice. Lots of activities in-house or organized in Quito or far afield for anyone who wants to be part of a group. All-around great place walking distance to the historic district.

Tuvimos una excelente experiencia en Secret Garden. El personal es amable, hay un ambiente agradable y las habitaciones están limpias. Mario fue muy útil en la recepción y Martha nos ayudó de manera muy eficiente con nuestra ropa. Lo único negativo es que la recepción estaba en el cuarto piso, lo cual fue un poco incómodo con todas las maletas (y sin ascensor). Creo que esto fue solo una solución temporal.

The first thing there is to say about this hostel is that the view is absolutely beautiful, even when the skies are gray ;) The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms clean, the showers hot and the location great. I'd definitely recommend checking it out, even if it's just to visit the rooftop restaurant.
