It is still acceptable locally, but it is not lost. However, there are still some gaps compared to other Marriott and similar brands. In South America, it cannot follow the requirements of other developed regions. It is acceptable if it is acceptable.

Overall impression of this hotel was good. Heavy security in and in front of the hotel. I even had two security guards on my floor due to visiting dignitaries. Rooms could use a renovation. A bit dated and dark. Beds were a little too soft for my liking; however, I got a decent night's sleep. Hotel gym/spa were also nice, but again on the dated side. The lobby area was quite nice with beautiful fresh roses. Buffet breakfast was very good and extensive, albeit a bit expensive. $31 including tip. A limited buffet with the basics is offered in the onsite coffeeshop for $10.50. The immediate area is ok...not too walkable; however, it's a close Uber ride away to most local sites and good restaurants. There is a nice restaurant across the street called Crepes & Waffles, which is delicious. This is one of, if not the nicest, chain hotels in Quito. Highlights were the service and food. I would most likely stay here again.

Nos quedamos un fin de semana mi pareja y yo, tuvimos una increíble experiencia. El personal fue muy amable y atento a brindar un servicio de calidad, incluso pedimos comida a domicilio y nos la llevaron a la habitación sin problema. La habitación es igual a las fotos referenciales de la página web. El desayuno buffet tiene mucha variedad de frutas, platos típicos ecuatorianos, cereales y lo rellenan constantemente. Lo único que me causó incomodidad es que dentro del hotel no existe un área para fumadores, entonces para fumar se debe salir del hotel.

A great property all around. Excellent service, roomy and fresh rooms, great restaurants (we tried two: Botanica and Kaori - both dinners were delicious).
Rental car office next door (Localiza) also comes very convenient.

This hotel is great! Diego M, night manager, the other Diego in dining…and in between just amazing service. Clean rooms & just overall great stay. Everything was great! 10/10 recommend. Safe and walkable location, most awesome staff, good amenities…
