He pasado dos noches en este hotel y fue una experiencia peculiar, comenzando por el hecho de ser el único huésped.... Lo cierto es que el lugar es considerablemente más bonito en las fotos de su página web. La realidad es menos espectacular. Mi habitación era muy clásica, decorada en estilo colonial, con una cama cómoda, pero era interior. No tenía ventana al exterior, tan solo una que daba a un patio o pasiñlo. Esto la convertía en oscura y un poco claustrofóbica. Además, para mi sorpresa, me hicieron pagar un 'ipuesto turístoco' de 25 $ por las dps noches, del qie nada me dojeron en la agencia de viajes de España en donde contraté la estancia (en otros dos hoteles contratados a través de la platsforma Booking no me pidieron nada). Lo positivo fue ña ubicación,en el centro histórico y muy cerca de los proncipales lugares que visitar, y los desayunos, que eran ricos y variados. Pese a ello, no lo recomiendo. Me resultó caro para lo que ofrece, viejuno, claustrofóbico y me pareció mal, muy mal, el 'impuesto" que me cobraron.

We stayed four nights in the Hotel El Relicario del Carmen. It was very pleasant and the staff so helpful. Perfect spot for us to base our visit from as we visited museums and sites including Parque de Carolina and the Jardin de Botanical. Breakfast each morning was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel.

Our three night stay at El Relicario was great! The location of the hotel is fabulous, right off the Plaza Grande (Independencia). The breakfast was great, and the staff was flexible when we needed a packed breakfast to go for an early start. The staff was delightful and friendly. The hotel was safe (the door is always locked or someone is outside), the room was large and quiet, and the hotel itself is charming! Only concerning guidance is that the bathroom was very small. Equipped, but small.

We stayed at this hotel on the way and way back from the Galapagos. The position is excellent, a few hundred yards from the main square in the old town.The hotel is beautifully furnished in Ecuadorian style and is immaculately clean and very comfortable.The staff were very kind snd attentive. We had a late flight home and they extended our checkout time until the evening for no extra charge. I would highly recommend it for a stay in Quito.

We stayed here for 2 nights before and after a visit to the wonderful Galapagos islands. It is only a small hotel with few guests but the service was excellent and the interior magnificent with many antiques and interesting Ecuadorian art. Breakfast was good and it is very conveniently situated to explore the many museums and churches in the Old Town. There are many local restaurants nearby to choose from, often with roof terraces to view the lights of Quito at night.

A quiet wonderfully decorated jewel with friendly service. Because of rhe crazy rules for healthy people I was the only guest and I truly hope that thice beauty will survive and that many guest will have the chance to stay here and explore the old town with it‘s fabulous churches, inner courts and orhers. Do not miss to enjoy Reboublica del Cacao right across!

We only stayed here two nights, but loved everything about it! The interior is magnificent, the artwork and the antique pieces placed perfectly around the main floor and on each of the three floors invite one to linger and look and appreciate. Our room was beautifully appointed with a very comfortable bed and pillows, the bathroom was large with a wonderful shower, a minibar which we did not use but it was available if we chose to. We did eat a delicious dinner there one evening as well as large and very good breakfasts in the small and charming dining room. The view from the top floor with or without the telescope up there is very cool, and I want to take my husband back to see more of Quito as we will return to Ecuador, a fantastic country with SO much to see and do＞

I stayed at El Relicario del Carmen for two weeks while attending a Spanish language school. The hotel is exquisite - beautiful artwork, lovely furnishings, quiet. Its location only a block from the Plaza Grande is perfect. Best of all, hotel staff - Tarquino, Zoila and Alfonso - were so helpful. On my last day I had problems receiving the results of my COVID test and Tarquino came in on his day off and straightened it out. I cannot say enough about my gratitude for such service. I highly recommend this hotel.
