In all honestly I would proably give this hotel a 3.5. The location is fantastic and its in a lovely old building. Rooms - they are dated but very large. The bed very rickety, the linens however were lovely. The bathroom has the shower over the bath - always a negative for me. I found the carpet a bit grotty. Service - everyone was lovely but English was ha problem. Our saviour was Javier who spoke excellent English. Food - well tbh we were not really impressed with the food in Equador. But some of it was pretty good. Would I stay there again - probably not. We stayed at Illa experience on our return and the rooms and service far exceeded th Grand.

Ein ganz besonderes Ambiente das sowohl die Zimmer als auch das Restaurant und die Lage betrifft. Das Personal war äußerst zuvorkommend und liebevoll bei der Zimmergestalltung. Das Essen, traditionelle Küche und gerade zu köstlich. Auf unserer Weltreise ein absolutes Highlight.

I can't say enough nice things about this hotel in the heart of Quito. The rooms were spacious, and well decorated. The staff was very accommodating. The drinks that they served us upon our arrival were delicious. Additionally, the local restaurants they suggested were spot-on. All-in-all, a great place to stay while in Quito.
