The staff were very pleasant n helpful especially the Front Office n in the Restaurant. Breakfast was excellent. We also had dinner there and had top quality food. You can’t ask for a better location. Our room was outstanding, spacious with a lovely balcony. Thank you to all the staff had made our stay a memorable one.

There are hotels that provide accommodation, and then there are hotels that create unforgettable experiences. Grand Plaza Quito belongs to the second category. During my 7-day stay in Ecuador, I returned to this hotel three separate times. In fact, I wanted to spend another night here before my final departure, but unfortunately they were fully booked, so I had to stay elsewhere nearby. That alone says everything about how much I loved this place. Every single member of the team made me feel genuinely welcome. They arranged an early check-in at 10:00 AM after a long journey and even upgraded my room as a thoughtful gesture because they couldn't accommodate me the previous night. That level of care is incredibly rare. Their concierge service was simply outstanding. They collected my luggage, arranged comfortable and professional airport transfers, and even when my private guide was waiting just 20 meters from the hotel, they still sent a concierge to personally walk me over. These are the small details that transform excellent service into exceptional hospitality. On my departure day, I left very early and couldn't make breakfast. Without me even asking, they prepared a beautiful breakfast box for me to take to the airport. Once again, they thought of everything before I did. I have stayed in many hotels across Europe and around the world, from boutique properties to luxury hotels, and I can honestly say that Grand Plaza Quito delivered the finest hospitality I have ever experienced. If I could give this hotel a score, it wouldn't be 10 out of 10. It would be 100 out of 10. Thank you for making my stay in Quito truly unforgettable. I cannot wait to return.

From the very beginning, Karina Fabara was incredibly professional, kind, and attentive, helping me coordinate everything flawlessly, even though I planned the event on such short notice. They left the evening happy, impressed, and even more excited for our wedding the next day. We are deeply grateful for everything he did. Our experience at Hotel Plaza Grande extended beyond the welcome party. My husband and I truly felt cared for during our stay. Our room was always immaculate, and we were deeply touched when the team surprised us with a heartfelt congratulatory letter and chocolate covered strawberries for our upcoming wedding. Hotel Plaza Grande exceeded every expectation with its exceptional service, warmth, and beautiful ambiance. My husband and I only regret that we did not stay longer. We will always cherish our time there and cannot wait to return! I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Plaza Grande, both for special events and for an unforgettable stay.

An incredible welcome after a 12 hour travel day. Every staff member is helpful and friendly. Lovely breakfast included. We stayed in the Presidential Suite with three balconies on the Square - a special experience.

I love Old Town and the Grande Plaza is a steady heartbeat of its romance and authenticity. The endless cups of café con leche by the window overlooking the plaza served by the friendliest of staff was a perfect way to begin our days. The craft cocktails and spotless bedding welcomed us home. We slept with the windows open and were always astounded by the silence, even in the heart of a big city! As the oldest hotel in Quito, expect a softness that will alert your senses to a true experience!

The service and the hotel are are excellent, please put this hotel on your bucket list will not be disappointed.

The hotel is beautiful and the service is superb. It's located in the main plaza, and has a restaurant on the first floor. Gorgeous wood and flowers all around. The fourth floor has a balcony with a stunning view of the plaza at night. Our room had high ceilings, AC, big windows with thick curtains that kept the room quiet and dark when needed. Nice bathroom with an ample jacuzzi. The service was amazing, the night clerk and the doorman went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The food and the service at the restaurant was great, we enjoyed every meal.
